General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 24, reveals that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) hoped Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) would be home by Christmas and opened the door to living Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), who was back in Port Charles. Here’s what went down in Wednesday’s stunning show.
At home, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) got out of the shower and reassured Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) that he’d come to the Quartermaine mansion.
Chase just had to drop the “Bailey Quartermaine” (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) bomb on Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) first.
After practicing poorly in the mirror, Chase wound up in Finn’s office and revealed that he couldn’t make it over to his brother’s place for Thanksgiving.
Finn assumed this was about a new lady in Chase’s life, so Chase clarified that it was about the mother of his child.
Chase explained that “Bailey” was the result of a one-night stand with Brook Lynn, who lied to him until now.
A stunned Finn asked plenty of questions and seemed surprised that Chase wasn’t angrier about his child being kept from him.
Chase suggested that he struggled with his emotions at first, but then he realized he spent quite a bit of time bonding with “Bailey” while living at the Quartermaine mansion.
In the end, Finn thought it was great that they were both dads now and knew Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) would be excited over her baby cousin.
Finn worried about Chase getting tangled up with the Quartermaines and agreed to keep this secret under wraps until Brook Lynn could tell her family the truth. After Chase left, Finn still seemed confused and deep in thought over the whole situation.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn had an explanation for why Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) moved out.
After Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) found out about the paternity lie and ELQ share scheme, Brook Lynn admitted Valentin was devastated and furious.
Ned wanted to know who the real father was, so Brook Lynn revealed it was Chase.
Although Ned was angry with Brook Lynn over the mess, he put some of the blame on himself for putting so much pressure on her over the stocks.
Ned also griped about Chase and suggested he didn’t dig deeper into Brook Lynn’s claims because he was trying to avoid taking responsibility for “Bailey.”
Brook Lynn rushed to Chase’s defense and argued that Ned should be mad at her instead since she was used to it by now. When Chase showed up at the door, he could tell he was arriving to tension.
At Sam’s place, she enjoyed her first Thanksgiving as an item with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
Scout Cain (Ella Ramacieri), Danny Morgan (Zakary Risinger) and Rocco Falconeri (Brady Bauer) watched the parade on the balcony before heading upstairs to watch a movie.
Sam got some treats ready before talking to Dante about going public with their families.
They discussed Drew’s presumed dead situation before talk turned to Jason. Sam hoped Jason would be back by Christmas for Danny’s sake, so Dante offered reassurance.
After Dante mentioned Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) and the likelihood that he was on the autism spectrum, Sam reflected on her brother’s difficulties and how much love she had for him.
Dante got swept up in a romantic moment and kissed Sam right as Scout interrupted. She was upset over the boys changing the movie she wanted to watch, so Dante headed upstairs to resolve the crisis.
Someone arrived at the door moments later, so Sam opened it and looked floored to see a cleanly-shaven Drew.
Back at GH, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) had no interest in talking to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) or anyone else connected to the Quartermaine clan.
However, Olivia insisted on offering an apology for how she attacked Austin over Leo. She understood that Austin truly wanted to help and felt grateful since he put Ned on the right path, which led to Leo’s rescue by the water.
Austin rejected Olivia’s Thanksgiving invitation, but she left it on the table anyway. She also put in a good word for Brook Lynn in hopes of ending their feud, but Austin just shrugged that he’d try.
Later, Austin alluded to payback as Finn realized his colleague was perhaps better off spending Thanksgiving alone.
As for Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett), he cornered TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) and weirded him out by knowing too much about him.
Marshall admitted he wasn’t sick before, so TJ wondered why he came to the hospital both then and now.
TJ was eager to end this conversation, but Marshall pushed for an opportunity to explain everything.
At The Savoy, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) thought he wasn’t ready to open up about Marshall, but he stopped Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) from leaving and came clean anyway.
Portia learned the mystery man was someone who claimed to be Curtis’ father, who he previously thought was dead.
Curtis showed Portia the photo Marshall left behind and struggled to process some long-buried feelings.
Curtis didn’t want a relationship with Marshall and wasn’t keen on searching for confirmation, but Portia suggested there could be more to the story and knew Curtis had plenty of unanswered questions.
Curtis didn’t want to risk Stella Henry’s (Vernee Henry) health by telling her any of this, but he knew he should probably warn TJ.
Portia let Curtis know she was there for no matter what, so he was glad to have her in his corner.
General Hospital spoilers say Curtis and Marshall have another heated showdown on the way.
