General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, November 3 Recap – Joey Kicked Out – Liz’s Mystery Man Sketch for Portia

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 3, reveals that Joey Novak (Patrick Zeller) was kicked out of The Savoy for Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) harassment while Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) did a mystery man sketch for Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Here’s how it all went down on Wednesday’s action-packed episode.

At GH, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) got positive updates following Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) successful surgery.

Once Valentin was awake, Anna asked for his thoughts on Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) claims about being his father. Valentin wasn’t ruling it out or taking it as fact without proof either.

Since Valentin thought he could pry Peter August (Wes Ramsey) info out of Victor, he pushed Anna to bring him to the hospital.

Anna protested that Victor would try to manipulate Valentin, but Valentin felt he could manipulate Victor as well.

As for Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), he found Elizabeth and grumbled since his full return to work hasn’t been cleared yet.

Chase thought Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) was behind the precaution, but Liz acted like Finn just wanted what was best for his brother.

Afterward, Liz pushed a clearly troubled Portia to open up. Once Liz heard about the mystery man situation, she offered to do her version of a police sketch off the record. That way TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) could confirm if his mystery man was the same one as Portia’s.

While Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) vented to each other at The Savoy, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) showed up for a cocktail and wanted the good stuff.

Gladys sat next to Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth), who remembered her from their hospital encounter.

Austin eventually noticed Gladys was paying with Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) card. Gladys acted like Brook Lynn wanted to reward her for working so hard, so Austin grew increasingly suspicious.

Once Gladys started getting drunk, Austin seemed poised to pump her for information.

At Kelly’s, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) mentioned someone Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) knew who could be of help with their Gladys problem.

When Chase came in hoping to ask Maxie more questions about Louise August’s (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) kidnapping, Brook Lynn scolded Chase for blindsiding her.

While Maxie was collecting herself in the restroom, Chase assured Brook Lynn that he just wanted to help. He’d been reviewing the case while on desk duty and didn’t think the events of that night added up.

Once Maxie rejoined them, Chase tried to be gentle about his desire to gather more information about what happened in the woods. Maxie was cooperative and agreed to answer Chase’s questions at a later time.

After Chase was gone, Maxie revealed to Brook Lynn that she got in touch with Nina and had the contact info for a man named Kip. She assured Brook Lynn that their plan to take down Gladys was on.

On the pier, Joey got a warm welcome home from his goon and blamed the Corinthos organization for Vincent Novak’s (Glenn Taranto) death.

Since Carly was being tracked, Joey knew exactly where to find her and couldn’t wait to see her again.

Joey sauntered in The Savoy, where he taunted Carly over her two marriages and insisted what happened to his uncle was no accident.

Carly thought Joey should know better than to approach her directly, but Joey stood his ground until Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) forcibly removed him and had his goon thrown out, too.

Once Portia had the sketch Liz came up with, she showed it to Curtis – and his employee confirmed it was the guy she saw. Curtis hadn’t seen the man himself, but he still thought there was something familiar about him.

Back on the pier, Joey was all riled up about being kicked out of The Savoy. He acted like the place would be a good cover and wanted to take it over to teach Curtis a lesson, but “Marshall” appeared nearby looking rather menacing.

Next, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) sat down with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) for a prison visit. Cyrus admitted his reach wasn’t as wide as he would prefer and pushed for a favor he might want to call in someday.

Cyrus danced around his news before finally revealing that Joey Novak was poised to take over for Vincent.

Sonny was baffled by that decision, but Cyrus suggested there was nothing more dangerous than a braggart with a gun and something to prove. He added that only a fool would underestimate someone with nothing to lose.

Sonny said the message was received and started to leave, but Cyrus wanted to know if he had seen or heard from Laura Collins (Genie Francis).

Cyrus asked how his sister was, but Sonny refused to offer info and said Cyrus shouldn’t hold his breath on the favor either.

On his way out, Sonny spoke with Carly over the phone. Carly was surprised to learn Sonny already knew about Joey’s return, but he assured his wife that he was going to take care of everything now that he was back.

General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will run into more mob obstacles in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
