General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Wednesday, October 20, tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will face a Peter August (Wes Ramsey) puzzle – and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will deliver some departure news. Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will also face a boss dilemma, so let’s discuss what’s happening on Wednesday’s exciting episode.
At The Savoy, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will show up looking for support from Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). After admitting a lot’s happened in the last few hours, Nina will talk about the latest Sonny and Carly drama.
Curtis will serve as a sympathetic ear while Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) faces some awkwardness with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton).
It looks like Liz may suggest signing up for another trivia night or some other hospital event, but things will be a bit uncomfortable.
Liz and Finn will try to get their flirty groove back, but there’ll be an interruption soon enough.
Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) will get a phone call and relay the news she receives to Finn right after. “Somebody called asking about you,” Terry says rather urgently in Wednesday’s preview video.
This could involve updates on all the Greece mayhem Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was just caught up in. If Anna was unable to reach Finn’s personal line, perhaps she offered a warning through Terry as the co-chief of staff instead.
Now that Peter has escaped, it’s a good idea for Finn and everyone else back in Port Charles to be on high alert!
Peter will also be on Carly’s mind as she apparently discusses Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) survival with Sonny.
Carly will question why Peter didn’t use this to his advantage, so she might think Peter had a grander vision than a get-out-of-jail free card.
Peter probably could’ve bargained his way out of charges if he’d offered up Drew’s location in exchange, but he chose to keep Drew captive instead.
Of course, GH fans know that’s because Peter saw the value in Drew as a programmed killer.
Now that Peter has faked Drew’s death once again, he’s ready to carry out more dangerous missions and get everything he wants.
Jason will fill Carly and Sonny in on his plan to leave for Greece with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), so they’ll be on their own when it comes to any lingering tension.
Sonny will still be trying to get past Carly and Jason’s real feelings for each other, so it’s probably good that Jason’s going to get out of town for a while.
As for Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), she’ll wonder if Michael can really be Nina’s boss under the circumstances.
Michael is running Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) half of Aurora Media, so he has to figure out if he can handle having Nina as an employee. It won’t be easy since Michael can’t stand Nina at this point!
Next, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will give Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) something to think about. “You have to wonder if it’s really all worth it,” Maxie says in Wednesday’s preview clip.
Is a seat at the Quartermaine table worth more than Austin’s career? Now that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) has backed Austin into a corner, he’ll have to make some tough choices.
Over with Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero), her dinner with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will highlight their different perspectives.
Olivia won’t want a bunch of specialists shaking Leo Falconeri (Easton Rocket Sweda) up and making him think he’s abnormal.
Ned won’t think it’ll be like that at all and will feel like Leo could really use some help communicating.
Olivia will view this as Ned’s way of throwing money at whatever issue comes along – because that’s the Quartermaine way.
In fact, Olivia won’t be so sure she belongs in the Quartermaine family anymore and will begin to seriously consider divorce as an option.
General Hospital spoilers say Olivia and Ned’s marriage could end in a split if they can’t work through all this.
