General Hospital Spoilers: Wednesday, September 8 Recap – Portia Reveals Trina Father Secret – Jax Calls Out Nina

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 8, teases that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) revealed a Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) father secret – and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) called out Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) twisted “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) fantasy.

At the gallery, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) tore up the restraining order, but Ava Jerome (Maura West) argued that didn’t make it any less viable.

Ava bickered with Nikolas about safety and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) before calling in her new guards, Bubba and Floyd. They were huge UFC guys who got expelled for being too violent, so she left them to deal with Nikolas.

Floyd and Bubba beat Nikolas up until a horrified Ava returned. She was expecting her guards to intimidate Nikolas and remove him, not hurt him!

Ava put an ice pack on Nikolas’ banged up abdomen and leaned in when he wanted her to kiss it better.

However, Ava ultimately had her guards get rid of Nikolas and reminded him to check his mail since their divorce was probably final or close to it.

By the Metro Court pool, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) took umbrage over what Trina was insinuating about the hospital badge and the torched car. She talked about being nervous to come to Spencer’s hometown and then finding a potential friend in Trina.

Esme acted disappointed in the kind of person Trina turned out to be and thought they should address her feelings for Spencer. After Trina left in a huff, Spencer tried to compose a text apology to her.

Esme didn’t see why that was necessary, but Spencer pointed out they were gaslighting Trina in a way since her wild accusations weren’t so wild.

After Esme moved in close to massage Spencer’s shoulders, she acted like Trina would blow everything if they told her the truth. However, Esme also suggested she’d support whatever made Spencer happy.

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) found out from a guard on the Corinthos property that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) left in her car 20 minutes ago with something to do before the wedding.

Jason sought Damian Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) help to track Carly down and eventually caught up with her at a building site.

Once Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) mind was put at ease, she turned her attention to Trina during her return visit. Trina admitted that Esme was even worse than Josslyn thought!

At The Tan-O on Wednesday’s GH episode, Jax ignored Nina’s attempts to get him to leave. Jax barged in the bar and hinted he was there because of a jar of marinara sauce.

Jax called out Nina’s nervousness and offered a deal. Jax vowed to leave Nina alone if she’d introduce him to “Mike,” who eventually came in on his own.

“Mike” wondered if Jax had a problem with his name, but Jax argued that this whole situation was problematic. Sonny vowed a world of hurt if Jax didn’t stay away from Nina – and Nina also begged Jax to just leave this be.

Jax couldn’t do that since Nina was living out some twisted fantasy while “Mike” couldn’t remember “a damn thing.”

Sonny made it clear that his old life couldn’t be better than the one he’d found with Nina. He assured Jax that they were in love, but Jax wanted the truth to come out since that love was built on lies.

At Roger Barstow’s house, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) mulled over how the Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Naomi Dreyfus (Gigi Bermingham) cases could be connected.

Roger had records linked to Drew and was the passenger next to Naomi on her flight from Paris to PC.

Portia explained how she was helping Curtis before Jordan let them in on probable cause since she saw smashed glass. The place was ransacked, so Jordan needed to call it in – though she was struggling to get cell service.

Jordan wound up in a basement where she found Roger’s dead body – and then a goon jumped out to bash Jordan in the head.

Portia wandered down later and found Jordan unconscious, so she roused her and worried about the possibility of a concussion.

Unfortunately, the door shut and locked behind Portia, which was terrible news since there was a gas leak! Jordan passed out and fell to the floor again, so Portia tended to her and kept muttering how it couldn’t end like this.

Portia couldn’t let Trina carry on without her and felt that Trina needed to hear the truth about her father.

As for Curtis, he found the goon who hit Jordan and chased him down.

The thug offered a hint about Curtis’ lady friend being dead soon and argued that he should stop wasting time she didn’t have. Curtis punched the guy’s lights out and ran off on a rescue mission.
