General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of August 16-20 tease that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will contact a shocked Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) while Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) bump up their wedding date. Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will also carry out a Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) scheme, so here’s what fans can expect.
First, Sam and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will become more willing to test the romantic waters between them. However, there’ll soon be an unsettling distraction to get in their way.
Sam will receive a phone call from a very much alive Drew, so she’ll struggle to wrap her head around her ex’s survival and desperate need for help.
Afterward, Sam will seek out Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and push for some assistance. Curtis cared about Drew and will no doubt do whatever he can to pitch in.
Sam will want to bring Drew home, but it’ll surely take some work to track Drew down and sort out the tricky situation he’s stuck in.
At Wyndemere, Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Chavez) bash will come with some unexpected problems – like an issue with the launch to and from Spoon Island as well as a spooky hooded party crasher.
Nikolas will try to teach Spencer a memorable lesson by giving him a Ryan scare, but posing as a serial killer won’t be something Laura Collins (Gene Francis) approves of.
Laura will later rip into Nikolas with everything she’s got, but Ava Jerome (Maura West) will feel haunted by her history and will make a major decision based on that.
In the meantime, Carly will get fed up with Jasper “Jax” Jacks’ (Ingo Rademacher) complaints. Carly will count on Jason to step up and defend her, so Jason indeed will.
After a faceoff with Jason, GH spoilers say Jax will form a new alliance. We’ll see Jax and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) find some common ground while Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) deals with the consequences of the choices she’s made.
Back with Jason and Carly, they’ll realize they need to set an ASAP wedding date. The mob battle will be intensifying, so it’ll be more important than ever for Carly and Jason to present a united front.
As for Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla), she’ll have some comforting words for Spencer after his blowup with Nikolas.
It looks like Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will sense that Trina’s falling hard for Spencer, so she’ll push for honesty and offer some advice.
Spencer will be surprised over Trina still being so nice to him after all his lies, but she’ll feel like he needs someone in his corner.
As for Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), he’ll grill Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) about the potential for a love connection.
Martin will sense that Valentin and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) are becoming more than just friends.
Finally, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will see the five-step milestone she’s been waiting on, so she’ll know it’s almost time to confess to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).
That’ll bring a bittersweet scene as Willow gets ready to come clean, but she won’t realize Chase already knows she’s been sneaking around with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
