General Hospital (GH) spoilers preview for the week of June 1 teases that Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) helicopter escape will be derailed while Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) forces a dangerous hostage standoff at Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) house.
The promo begins with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) telling Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) to brace herself! Maxie will admit she’s got a lot to tell Brook Lynn before launching a wild story.
Once Maxie explains how she wound up giving birth in the woods and reveals all the “Chloe Jennings” (Kimberly J. Brown) chaos, it seems it’ll be time for the next step.
Later in the preview video, Maxie sobs into her hands as she kneels down in the forest. That may after Maxie’s tough goodbye to Baby Louise since we know she’ll hand off the baby as planned.
Although Maxie knows this is her best chance of keeping her daughter safe, the idea of being separated from Louise for months or more may seem unbearable.
As for Peter, he’ll have a helicopter flying in as part of his ultimate escape plan. Peter intends to join Maxie in Pautuck following the birth of their baby girl – then start a new life elsewhere using the fake passports he had made for them.
Of course, we know Peter’s plan won’t pan out since GH has been skipping ahead to that staircase fall and Peter’s blow to the head. Who will strike that blow?
Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) seems like the best option since it appears he’ll have a major confrontation with Peter the day of the tumble.
Another portion of the preview video shows Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) insisting that Peter took Finn’s relationship with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) – and Peter took Liz’s husband away, too. “He doesn’t get to take anything else from us,” Liz declares in the promo clip.
Elizabeth will find Peter unconscious after his staircase fall, so she’ll check his pulse and figure out her next move.
Will Liz get Peter help or leave him there to die? Elizabeth might put her duty as a nurse first – or someone else might come along after Liz and get Peter medical assistance.
Either way, Peter should be in bad shape, but Maxie and Brook Lynn’s scheme may be stuck in limbo as long as Peter’s lingering between life and death. It’s wise to stick to their plan if Peter’s in a coma and might wake up to resume his reign of terror.
There’ll also be major drama over at Portia’s place, so let’s talk about what’s in store. Someone can be heard screaming from inside the house as Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) and Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) gather outside.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) will also be on hand along with an officer. Cyrus will threaten both Portia and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla), so the stakes will be awfully high.
Laura will wind up trying to talk some sense into Cyrus, which will bring some powerful, distraught scenes between the siblings. There could be a real breakthrough, but we also know Laura’s life will be in jeopardy.
Despite the emotional vulnerability Laura may see in this moment, she can’t forget that Cyrus is armed and dangerous!
