General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) may see Grandpa Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) on a video call with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). This caught-off-guard grandma might worry the tot will blab in the aftermath!
During the week of July 26-30, Nina will indeed accept a video call from sweet Wiley. Of course, the fact that Nina’s taking the call rather than making it is clue number one.
That suggests Nina will be surprised by this call and may not have a chance to prepare for it like she should.
That’s a problem since Nina’s keeping Sonny’s survival a secret and will be in Nixon Falls when this call comes in. If it were just a regular phone call, that’d be one thing. It wouldn’t be hard for Nina to hide “Mike” aka Sonny in that case.
However, GH spoilers specify this will be a video chat situation. That could at least bring a close call for Nina once she answers.
Nina may think she’s in the clear, but what if Sonny walks in and perhaps wants to meet the kid? Sonny might hop in front of the camera and give Wiley a clear view of him.
We can’t forget that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Chase (Katelyn MacMullen) show Wiley pictures of his family all the time. The writers went out of their way to include that in the story recently.
It’s not like Wiley has forgotten what Grandpa looks like since he still sees pics of Sonny daily and gets a description of who he is. Nina will panic if Wiley’s able to see and identify Grandpa Sonny on this video call.
There’s the potential for Wiley to blurt something out to Willow, Michael or Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) – maybe even right then and there.
After all, Wiley will need some supervision to make this call, so Nina will have some good reasons to be concerned.
Wiley could spill something to his mom, dad or Grandma Carly depending on who’s nearby.
This could leave Nina frantic to get Sonny out of the frame and keep Wiley quiet. Nina might even end the call abruptly and blame it on technology problems.
Sonny’s survival should stay a secret for now, but this could turn into a strange hint that’ll become more important for the Corinthos clan later.
