We know that Jason and Carly want their marriage to look legit to the public. That’s why Jason got Carly a beautiful engagement ring and is making a big show about the upcoming nuptials.
They have to sell this as a believable story to their mob enemies like the Novak family.
Of course, a honeymoon would add to the perception that this marriage is the real deal. Carly and Jason wouldn’t want to go too far or for too long, which is why a quick weekend jaunt to Nixon Falls might be perfect.
That’s especially true if Carly grows suspicious of Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and decides she’d like to know more about this intriguing town she’s so drawn to.
It’d be easy for Carly to overhear something that leads her to believe Nina’s got a buried secret just waiting to be uncovered.
Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) took a trip to Nixon Falls at one point as well, so Carly had heard about it on more than one occasion and might choose it as a close honeymoon destination.
The town’s likely becoming more of a tourist spot now that crime is finally declining.
Sonny is struggling to leave Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) and Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) since Lenny’s got health issues, so what if the two most important people in this big reveal come to Sonny instead?
Carly and Jason are certainly the reactions we’re all waiting to see when it comes to Sonny’s survival.
Just imagine if Jason and Carly stumble upon Sonny as an amnesiac bartender. They’d get the shock of their lives and might work to convince “Mike” to come home to Port Charles.
That’d bring yet another shock – this time for Nina if she sees Sonny come waltzing back into PC with Carly and Jason!
There’d be some great dramatic potential in Jason and Carly discovering Sonny together on their honeymoon.
Having married Jason and Carly try to explain things to Sonny would be soap gold!
