General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that we should consider the possibility that Mike Corbin (Max Gail) will return for Baby Liam Corbin’s death and give Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) a ghostly visit as his son goes off life support.
Brando is facing one of the most difficult ordeals of his life, so he could certainly use Mike’s comfort and advice.
GH fans know Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has been stepping up to offer fatherly guidance, but there’s the potential for Max Gail to step back in Mike’s shoes and offer some guidance of his own.
Will Mike reach beyond the grave to give Brando the support he needs?
Brando has some special memories of Mike from when he was younger and enjoyed reconnecting with him later in life, too. It’s easy to see why GH writers might want to use Mike for the next part of this storyline.
Liam even got a nod to Mike through his middle name, so Liam and Mike are connected in some ways.
There’s a special bond that the show could play up – perhaps by having Mike promise to take care of Liam in the afterlife or something along those lines.
Mike might visit Brando in the chapel and insist everything’s going to be OK. He could assure Brando that he did right by his son during Liam’s brief time on this earth.
Brando gave Liam all the love he had to give, so Mike may argue that was more than enough.
Mike might contend that Liam will take that with him to the other side and will never be forgotten. This could give Brando the reassurance that Liam’s short life mattered and that Liam could still feel the love he was given somehow.
There’s a great opportunity for Mike to offer Brando some closure and console him, especially since Brando’s trying to be so strong for Sasha right now.
Brando needs someone to support him as well, so Mike could reenter the picture in spirit form and pitch in with that.
