General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that there’s some surprising news to report about William Lipton, a popular and talented young performer. GH fans love William Lipton as Cameron Webber in Port Charles, but we could be seeing less of him based on the closing credits of the March 5 episode.
Sadly, Lipton is no longer on contract at General Hospital.
Of course, it’s possible Lipton will remain on GH in a recurring role and still be featured often. Sometimes actors even prefer not having contracts so they have more flexibility to pursue other projects.
However, it’s also possible this is the beginning of the end when it comes to Lipton’s run on General Hospital. It could be a sign that Lipton is headed for the exit door depending on how things play out.
Lipton is certainly a well-liked cast member and an important part of the teen scene. With Dev Cerci aka “Dev Corbin” (Ashton Arbab) gone, that leaves Cameron as the only teenage boy – at least at the moment. It’ll leave a major void if Lipton departs the show and Cam ends up being written out.
There’s been General Hospital buzz about Spencer Cassadine (last played by Nicholas Bechtel) being recast to become part of the current teen group. That makes sense considering there have been some onscreen hints to set up Spencer’s potential return.
Spencer might be used to fill the Cam void we mentioned if Lipton indeed winds up leaving GH.
Then again, it’s possible Cameron will remain in the picture – perhaps in a reduced capacity while Spencer takes center stage as the main teen guy. Regardless, General Hospital spoilers say Cameron’s world will blow up in the coming episodes.
This Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) storyline will lead to trouble that could easily set up a speedy exit for Cameron.
