General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) may have just offered a long-lost sister clue, so could this mean Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) family connection will be revealed? It seems like GH writers might’ve snuck a big hint in a recent scene, so let’s talk about that.
While the Corinthos clan’s Christmas celebration was going on, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) pulled Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) aside to offer a special letter she’d written.
In the December 22 episode, Joss expressed gratitude over all the sisters she had in her life and considered Willow to be one, too.
That left Willow touched as she admitted she’d never had a sister before. Willow suggested she now knew what she was missing, but there’s no denying that this scene was rather odd.
When something is strange on a soap, it’s important to pay attention. It usually means something more is going on under the surface.
We have to ask ourselves why GH wanted to randomly give Willow and Josslyn this bonding moment.
Why insert this awkward holiday scene so Willow can declare she never had a sister and acknowledge what she’s been missing out on?
Doesn’t that seem like the prime way to set up an actual sibling revelation for Willow – meaning a biological sister she never knew existed?
Of course, that means we also have to consider who Willow’s long-lost sister might be. Esme is the easy answer for a few reasons, so let’s run down the list.
For starters, it seems soapy for Josslyn to declare Willow her sister and later realize her new nemesis is actually Willow’s younger sis. Joss hates Esme’s guts and may end up being protective of Willow down the road.
Plus, fans still don’t know who Esme’s biological parents are. Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) has had several intriguing interactions with Esme and felt like she was trouble from the get-go.
If Esme is a secret child Harmony gave up for adoption, that could bring a real shocker.
Harmony obviously wouldn’t realize the baby she gave away now that she’s all grown up. She may have no idea Esme the troublemaker is actually her bio daughter.
Willow was able to conceal her own pregnancy from Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin), so maybe Harmony found a way to do the same – especially if Harmony’s baby belonged to someone else and she didn’t want Shiloh to find out.
Esme has teamed up with Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom), who’s also in Harmony’s orbit at Spring Ridge.
Is there a chance that Ryan and Harmony are Esme’s biological parents? Anything’s possible on a soap, so we have to take all this into consideration.
General Hospital spoilers say Esme’s full history will come to light sooner or later, so stay tuned to see if Willow will be part of her family tree.
