The episode begins with Annie, Beth, and Ruby in the hot tub, drinking some wine. Rio and Nick are eating and having a beer, and Rio gives him woman advice, but Nick says it’s not his style.
Annie is sleeping when she hears someone at the door, she approaches slowly and beats up her roommate, he says he forgot his key. She asks where he has been, he says Angela’s place. He grabs a few things and says he is going back to Angela. He tells her that Angela asked him to move in with her, Annie says it is a little soon. She tells him that she doesn’t want to be alone, he says neither does he, and he leaves.
Stan is packing up purses, he tells Ruby that he has to get them out of there because they told Eli’s mom she bought a fake and she spread the news, threatened to call the cops. He says this is Beth’s fault, she goes out with her all night and now everything is blown.
Beth, Annie, and Ruby are working on making money. Beth tells Ruby that maybe they should have a purse party, Ruby says there are issues with inventory.
Rio is in the strip club, he wants to clean the place up and run it. Beth says no way, this is where they make money. Ruby asks how much, Annie clarifies, their cut.
The girls work on the old strip club staff to get them back to work, with new management. They offer to split the profits, the girls will not just be dancing on the tables, they will get a cut; the girls are in.
Phoebe drops by to see Dave, he tells her that he tried to sway the director, she says it is ok she is the one who lost the money. She tells him to come with her, she is going to Detroit, she hands him an envelope. She tells him that she is off the clock and this is not even their jurisdiction. He tells her that she needs a real vacation.
Dean and Stan are collecting information about Beth, but Dean is having second thoughts – Stan tells him that his wife brought it on herself.
The next morning, someone is at Annie’s door again, it is her son and she admits that she doesn’t want to be alone. Beth tells Dean that she figured out that if she just gives the kids what they want they will go right to bed. Then she tells Dean, that Rio is throwing a lot at her and she may be working nights soon. He tells her not to miss too many bedtimes, she doesn’t know how many she has left. Annie goes to Angela’s work, she says she is looking for Kevin, Angela says he is probably at her place. Annie tries to discourage Angela from dating Kevin and Angela catches on, she tells her that she likes that he is different.
At the club, the girls are getting everything open to open up. The woman who beat out Beth on buying the club, then Beth paid off an inspector and got the club from her – shows up with a bunch of mothers who signed a petition to stop the club from opening.
Phoebe is in her hotel room when Dave shows up, he goes inside and raids her mini-fridge and says he is going to help her.
Beth shows the petition to Nick, he tells her to run for city council and she can make this problem go away. During their conversation, she mentions his brother Rio, Nick says she is not his brother, he is blood.
At a city council meeting, Annie gets up and reads a statement that she prepared – Beth puts a stop to it and gets up and talks about values, a few business owners get up and say that their businesses were doing better when the club was opened, so in the end, the club gets to open. Phoebe and Dave walk into the club, Phoebe asks the girls if they miss them.
Ruby tells Stan that they are opening the club back up, this is their new way out. He asks her if it is a done deal, she says yes. The next day, Stan has a change of heart, he doesn’t want to trap Beth because he knows that Ruby is going to go down with her.
Annie arrives home and Kevin is there, he fixed the lock and he is cooking dinner. She asks him what happened to Angela, he says she is really not roommate material. He says he is back because nobody has ever needed him before, she says her either.
Nick tells Beth that she handled herself pretty well regarding the club, she tells him that she will run for city council – when he asked who changed her mind, she says he did.
