In tonight’s Good Girls episode, Beth was given a job. She was told to print some money and to drop it off. She was talking to Rio about her cut when Dean came in. Dean risked the ankle monitor going off because he needed to exchange car keys with his wife and he hadn’t liked seeing her with Rio. Rio told him to leave. They didn’t need the cops finding their spot and so Beth hurriedly exchanged keys with her husband.

He returned home to pack for their trip. She stayed to discuss business with Rio. It was tense after Dean arrived and things were already awkward enough between Beth and Rio and so getting back to business the safest thing to do under the circumstances. Beth finished business with Rio. She returned home and she tried talking to Dean.

Only Dean didn’t want to talk. He was missing a lot with his ankle monitor and so he asked her to facetime during their son’s soccer game. Beth tried to talk to him about something else but he told her “don’t”. Beth also went into work as in the official job she has and she was fired. Dorothy fired her after the bust-up she had with another employee. She also gave Beth’s job to an 11th grader. It was an insult on top of everything else and it left Beth in a precarious situation.

Her friends tried to help. Ruby tried to talk to her husband. She told him that his behavior towards her best friend was unacceptable and she asked him to be the bigger person and he said no. He was upset that Ruby talked to him about his behavior and didn’t talk to Beth about her behavior.

Beth losing her job meant the girls didn’t have a place to print the money for the job. Annie suggests they steal the printing machine from Beth’s former employer and so Beth said where would they put the machine. Ruby said the strip club. She said they could get in with her husband’s help. There was just one little problem and that was the husband.

He didn’t want anything to do with the business. He wanted his wife out of it in spite of it paying his bills and so Beth met with him. She asked him what he wanted and he told her that he wanted her out of Ruby’s life. She agreed. Dean was facing years in prison and she didn’t want her family around that. She implied that the family would leave at the first opportunity.

While Beth was promising to leave the girls behind, her husband Dean was getting involved in a pyramid scheme. It was clear it was a pyramid scheme but he was just so desperate to be doing something that he fell for it and now he’s being told he’s moving the supplies too slow. Dean sucks at his new job. He was facing prison time and he resented Rio’s presence.

There wasn’t much about his life he liked. He was going to a meeting for the pyramid scheme as Beth was stealing the printer. Beth and the girls spoke with movers about moving in the night and there was an issue. The machine was too big to move. It wouldn’t fit through the door. The girls couldn’t move it and so that sorta voided Beth’s deal with Stan.

It also presented a problem. The printing machine was put together piece by piece and it would be hard to find who did it and they couldn’t use the repairman because he knew Dorothy. Their best bet was Dean. Dean took apart the dishwasher last week and so Beth was hoping the two things would be similar.

She woke him up in the middle of the night. She told him they needed him and he did the job. He took apart the printing press. He then later started putting it back together again at the strip club and he saw his wife at work. He saw that it was impressive. He also saw that it was terrifying. Dean asked Beth that if they get to where they’re goings, is Rio still going to be in her head? Beth won’t be forwarding her mail and she said she’ll have her family back.

But Dean saw her at work. He saw her smile and he said that they as a family have never made her smile as much as this does. Dean stopped putting together the printing press. He said he realized that Rio wasn’t the problem and that she gets off on doing all this. He didn’t want to be a part of the process once he realized that. Beth was once again stuck. She and the girls talked about it and they asked her what she said to Stan and she said she told him what he wanted to hear.

So, Ruby said to do the same with Dean. Beth went to talk to her husband while Annie dealt with her live-in problem. Kevin is a nuisance. He was messy and he brought over weird friends for things like laundry parties. Annie just couldn’t deal with him anymore. Annie offered to lease him a house on wheels and she couldn’t really afford it and so Kevin offered to leave on his own.

Kevin wasn’t going to say anything to the school. He liked her son and he didn’t want to hurt him and so he was just going to leave. Annie dealt with her problem while Beth’s problem continued to spiral. Beth’s husband admitted to his pyramid scheme friends that he stole a printing press.

He also told them what his wife was doing with it and now it’s out there. They know why he was arrested. They know why he wears an ankle monitor and Dean risked everything. He risked their very lives because he was disappointed he didn’t make Beth smile as much as a crime did. Dean later completed putting the printing press back together. It seems to unburden himself helped him realize the sooner this was all over the better.

THE END!
