In tonight’s LPBW episode, Amy went shopping for wedding dresses. Her big day is coming up. She was getting all the details together and the dress was one of the highlights of the wedding. Everyone looked forward to seeing the bride in her dress. It was just difficult shopping for a dress because anything Amy buys would have to be tailored to fit her and so trying on dresses wasn’t easy.
It had to be pinned to Amy so that she could a general feel of it. Amy tried on several dresses and she seemed to like a dress that came with a train. It was different than her last wedding dress. Her last wedding dress was very 80s because that was the style at the time and Amy wants a dress that’s completely different from the last one. No puffy sleeves.
It also didn’t need to come with headgear like her last one. Amy hadn’t envisioned getting married again after the divorce and so Chris took her by surprise. She fell in love again. She also fell in love with a good man who loves and respects her. Chris is everything she ever wanted. She wanted to surprise him on their wedding day in her dress and that meant he wasn’t going to see it before the ceremony. But everyone thinks that Chris is going to cry when he sees her in the dress. Amy’s friends Lisa and Deb went shopping with her and they were both on Team Cry. They thought Chris would be overcome with emotion once he saw Amy and so that in turn convinced Amy that keeping her dress was the best thing.
Amy was shopping for her dress as Chris was hanging out with Matt. The two men have become friends and they were cutting a slab from a wood trunk to serve as the bar for the wedding day. Chris came up with the idea. He presented to Matt and the two of them enjoyed doing this project together.
They were a lot alike in many ways. They were both outdoors people. They both love projects and Chris even understood Matt’s art. It’s no wonder they became friends. It’s also annoying for Amy because she didn’t want the two men to become friends. She still views her ex-husband Matt with some slight distrust and so she’s always on the lookout to see when or if he’s going to stir the pot.
It’s a thing for him. Or at least that’s how Amy views it. Amy thinks Matt is going to cause trouble because she said that’s how he is and her friends agree with her while other members of the family view her differently. They view Amy as ultra-sensitive. She’ll think Matt is trying to ruin her wedding if he moves a flowerpot, not to her liking, and it’s all about point of view. Amy thinks Matt is going to do something to set her off.
Her son Zach and his wife Tori think Amy is going to go off no matter what Matt does. Matt on the other hand said that Amy is demanding. Matt was actually shocked when Amy was so easygoing about the flowers at her wedding. She was getting married at the farm and she didn’t harp on what she couldn’t have. She chose things that were reasonable.
Amy chose flowers that would be blooming around the time of the wedding. She was told by Matt when he would be planting them and it turns out Matt and Caryn had needed help in the planting season. They called on family members. Amy and Chris showed up. Zach and his family also showed up. They all helped to make sure they were enough flowers planted that would supply Amy’s wedding.
It was a good thing too. Amy wanted a hand in everything that went towards her wedding because she was very hands-on and she was doing other things too. She visited the farm to check on the wedding venue. She was showing it off to her friends so that they could picture how the wedding was going to look and it was hard because currently, Matt was using the barn to store his holiday decorations.
The life-size dinosaurs were in the barn. They were recently bought during the last pumpkin season and Matt stored them away after the season was over. But unfortunately, it was the barn now. It was hard to picture a wedding with giant dinosaurs there.
There was also the question of Matt’s building projects. Amy didn’t want people coming to her wedding to see dump trucks or bulldozers and there was a risk of that because Matt was always doing something at the farm. Everything looked fine now because the trees were hiding that part under construction and so Amy just has to trust that Matt won’t ruin things for her. Amy and Chris also settled on the signature drink at their wedding.
They had created a list of three drinks they liked. Then they lost that list and so they had to start over. They chose Cosmopolitan, Sea Breeze, and a third unnamed drink to test on their friends. The friends added sparkling water to their last drink. It elevated it and so that became his signature drink. They even gave it a name. They called it “It’s About Time”. It was named in honor of Chris and how long it took him to get married. It was also a funny name because it made everyone laugh.
THE END!
