The episode begins with Yandy Smith-Harris who has officially moved to Georgia. She wanted a fresh start for her family after her husband came out of prison and Atlanta is the best place to do it. Yandy is now closer to her dad. She and her husband Mendeecees also wanted to raise their son in a different environment. The city they left behind was where they had all their troubles and yet Yandy hasn’t stopped getting into good trouble. She’s still out there protesting. She gets arrested and she gets maced. Her father asked her to be careful because it takes one bad egg to turn the whole police department against them and he didn’t want that happening to his daughter. His son-in-law Mendeecees agreed with him. He too was worried about Yandy whenever she attends these protests and he would have said something only he knew that nothing he said would deter Yandy.
Yandy is a proud board member of the organization Until Freedom. They still want the officers who killed Breonna Taylor to be arrested and that’s what the latest protest is going to be about. Yung Baby Tate isn’t worried about protests. She’s busting out onto the music scene. She wants to get Grammy like her mother did and then she wants to get a second one so that she outshines her mother. She also wants to go mainstream. She doesn’t have a Plan B. Her mother wanted her to go to college and to get a degree in business and Yung claimed she gave it a try, but she just couldn’t do it. She put everything into her music. There was no Plan B if music didn’t work out for her or if she failed to make it mainstream.
Everyone dreams of making it mainstream. It’s where the money and the attention are. The rappers both old and new wanted to make it mainstream and they’re all giving it go even as they’re living their lives. Bambi is married to a rapper. He takes of them and their ever-growing family. She was pregnant with her third child. She needed as much support as she could get and yet, whenever she asked her husband for it, he gets defensive. He acts like his actions aren’t enough for her when she’s asking him to do the bare minimum. Bambi was talking about it with her girls and Erica felt for her because she was going through something similar. Erica’s husband Safaree sometimes ignores his family.
Safaree online to claim the marriage wasn’t for him. Sometimes he’s interested in being a father and husband and at other times he doesn’t want anything to do with either his wife or his daughter. Erica was growing sick of his behavior. She was going to need something to change else Safaree won’t be the only one who wants out. Then there was Sierra. Sierra got engaged in quarantine and then she called it off after a week. She realized that BK wasn’t for her. He cheated on her and he broke out in tears in fear that she might be pregnant by him. Sierra doesn’t love BK. She met him when she was going through a divorce and in an emotional place. She’s better now. She’s stronger and she and everyone knew that BK was no good.
Her mother even made a toast about it at the engagement party. Sierra finally woke up to see what everyone was saying about BK was true and she ended things. She ended things and then two months later she met Eric. Eric is the perfect guy for her. They found that out when they were in Dubai together. Sierra was happy with her new man and she felt she should clear the air with BK. She was selling the ring he gave her. She bought jewelry for her friends and for herself and she also had something for her mother. She turned that sixty thousand dollar ring into a payday for herself. Sierra was celebrating as her friends’ husbands met up at the gym. Safaree and Lil Scrappy met. They discussed marriage and Safaree did sound fed up.
Safaree was taking out the trash when he found out Erica threw away their wedding pictures. He was so fed up that he didn’t even say anything to Erica and he just kept it moving. Safaree already has one foot out the door. He put that foot out when he wrote on social media that Erica was his biggest regret. He should never have done that because they do have a baby together and one day she’s going to wonder if her father saw her as a mistake as well. Only Sierra realized she should have cleared the air sooner with her ex when she saw he was badmouthing her on social media. BK is out there claiming Sierra cheated on him and she didn’t. She met Eric months after BK and her relationship ended. And so she tried to tell him to let it go, only BK said he couldn’t believe this woman was the same one he proposed to.
BK and Sierra were still fighting as Safaree and Erica were at a breaking point. They stopped sleeping together. He sleeps in his studio and she continues sleeping in their bedroom on her own. Safaree was also upset with the wedding pictures. He asked Erica how she could do that and she said she did it after he wrote being married to her is his biggest regret. Erica tried to bring it up. Safaree claimed Twitter wasn’t real life. He claimed what he did doesn’t matter and so he tried to blame their collapsing marriage on Erica when it was clear that she wasn’t the problem. She couldn’t have a marriage with someone that’s checked out. And that’s Safaree to a T.
