In tonight’s My Big Fat Fabulous Life episode, after much back and forth with the French man Whitney is dealt another blow as she discovers he isn’t going on their planned trip to Maine. She is heartbroken. Her entire family is going as well as Ashley, Tal and Todd.
The French man leaves a voicemail just as she is getting on the plane. She doesn’t say anything until later after they all check in to their hotel. As they all sit to discuss their day plans, she tells everyone he isn’t coming. Hunter knew it. He thinks Whitney goes way too fast with her love life. Her friends get annoyed that Hunter is so “told you so.”
On their way to Acadia, Todd, Tal and the others talk. They wanted to meet the French man but this isn’t good. Whitney seems to have taken it well. She seemed all right. They will see, however.
They all meet to go on a cruise to the Gulf of Maine. They are currently in Frenchman Bay. Whitney wants to rename it to Freedom Bay. She is trying to enjoy the cruise and be in the moment.
On the cruise, they sing Babs and Glenn happy birthday. Whitney gives Babs a blanket with a racy photo of her dad on it. After, Hunter tells Whitney she moves too fast and he doesn’t trust the French man. Whitney feels stupid.
Glenn doesn’t say anything but agrees with Hunter although his delivery is lacking. Hunter keeps commenting. Whitney didn’t ruin the vacation. She has been talking to this man for 8 months.
Later, Whitney and Hunter sit and talk. He apologizes. The French man calls. He is at the airport but missed his flight due to Covid regulations. They all head off on their latest day trip. They go on a hike. Its good for Whitney to forget about things and concentrate.
Whitney gets a text. The French man is really trying. She is sad. She cries. Ashley thinks she needs to look at the bright side. He is really giving it his all. They all sit and comfort her.
