In tonight’s NCIS episode, the body of Navy Admiral Henry Davis was found early morning. He was beloved admiral. He was also known for training some of the top athletes in the country and so his death had been shocking. Davis trained Navy athletes who compete in both military and world events. These athletes were double threats because they also had to maintain active duty while performing in events.
Davis was training one young man, but the kid barely out of high school had overslept and he thought his coach was going to reprimand him for it only to find his coach dead. Davis was killed in his office. NCIS was called in to investigate and they searched the crime scene. They found out that Davis had a hidden compartment in his desk. The hidden compartment held a bad and inside there was a bag full of steroids.
The steroids were the performance enhancement kind. Davis was no longer an athlete himself and he only trains one person at a time. The team came to suspect he was acquiring drugs for Petty Officer Felix Cross. They asked Cross to come in and they also demanded that he pee in a cup.
The team also spoke with the parents of Davis’s last athlete he worked and they had to do so because the last athlete died. He was in a car accident. The other guy was drinking and driving. Jamie died about a year ago and Davis was still in contact with the family. Davis even called them two days before he died. He was checking with them like he normally does and Jamie’s father said he sounded distracted.
This aligns with what Cross told them. Cross said he saw Davis getting into a fight with another Petty Officer by the name of Kyle Seward and that he had never seen his coach lose his temper before then. The team looked into Seward. They found out that he was a wrestler who put on a lot of muscle in a year. The team suspected he was either using steroids or selling it and so they had a sting.
Torres pretended to be a buyer. He got Seward to open up to him and it turns out Seward wasn’t selling drugs. He was selling military athlete’s old clothes. He apparently makes a lot of money from selling used items that belong to celebrities. Davis found out about it and he forced him to take down his seller’s page or else he would be reported to his CO.
Seward did what Davis wanted. He also dealt with some nasty backlash from his customers. There was one particular person known as NavyFan92 who was really nasty and wanting the old business back up and running. But the team tracked her down. They found her at her secret lab. Her name is Dr. Astrid Fellows and she almost blew them all up because she thought McGee and new team lead Parker were secretly Chinese spies.
Fellows was arrested. She was brought in and she revealed that she was buying up athlete clothing because she wanted to get their DNA. Fellows wanted to create a test to determine gene manipulation and her idea could potentially mean millions. Its why she got upset when getting their DNA was now so much harder thanks to Davis. And luckily for her, she had an alibi for Davis’s murder.
Fellows has footage of herself working in her lab at the time of death. She wasn’t the killer and that put their case back at dead end. Which didn’t help Cross. Cross confronted Seward because he suspected that he killed coach and was wrong and walking on edge. Torres tried to help but Cross didn’t want to accept help just yet and so he and the others focused on the case. They were trying to figure out where to go from here when Kasie came in.
Kasie said that Fellows’s research held the truth about who was doping and the truth the only person who was doping was the late Petty Officer Jamie Anderson. Anderson was dead. Only he still has two parents who would do anything to preserve his memory.
Anderson’s father had been the one doping him. His son was a great athlete who held world records and his things were recently found by the maintenance crew. Davis collected the items. He found the steroids and he informed Anderson’s father that he would have to come forward with what he found.
This would mean that Anderson would lose the two records in his name. His father couldn’t let that happen and so he begged Davis not to come forward and he ultimately Davis when he refused. Anderson’s father said his son’s memory is the only thing he has left. He didn’t want to lose it.
The father was arrested and the team adjusted to Parker being their new boss. Parker even came up with an idea to help Cross. They had Cross race against Torres and Torres was going to help him train from now on.
THE END!
