Max then puts padding down on the living room floor, then puts toys over it and prepares the house for the return of his daughter Luna and he is so excited.
Helen is in bed with Cassian when she gets a call, she looks upset and when he asks her if everything is ok, she says family stuff.
In the hospital, Max tells Dr. Kao that she wants her to take over for Vijay, but she doesn’t feel she is ready. He tells her to get out there and go get them, tiger. Floyd is there, Max tells him to see Helen on his royal return.
Iggy is with a patient, Linus, he asks him what happened that made him want to run away. Did someone hurt him physically? Linus says his mom threw him out. Iggy says if that is the case, why did she call the police and file a missing person’s report. Iggy is now with Linus’ mother, she brought all his papers. He asks her why there is the confusion that led to his leaving home.
She says four weeks ago she sent him to camp and he never returned him. Iggy calls Linus in the room, he is going to speak to both of them at the same time. Linus walks in and she says that is not her son. She says he looks like her son but he is an imposter, a mother knows, that is not her son.
Max is in Connecticut to pick up Luna. Max looks around at all the photos on the wall and smiles. When he goes into the living room where she is playing, Luna ignores him, even when he says daddy is here.

Linus’ mother is getting an MRI, Iggy wants to make sure everything is ok because that boy is her son, the ID matches, but she says he is not. Iggy thinks there has to be a medical explanation.
Lauren tells the staff that security is coming, then four officers walk in and she smiles.
At a loss, Floyd heads to cardiology and says he is ready for action, but there is nothing for him to do, all surgeries have been assigned.
Cassian goes into Helen’s office and asks her if she is ok, he wants to help. She says she needs an immigration lawyer, not a surgeon, and she is barely holding it together, so she doesn’t want to talk about it, with anyone.
Max is about to leave and Luna doesn’t want to go.
Iggy explains to Linus that they found small lesions in his mother’s brain and they are the reason why she has been so confused. It’s rare, her brain’s facial recognition is rewired. He says she was fine when he went camping, he doesn’t understand what is happening.
There is no surgery for his mother because of where the lesions are, his mother is never going to recognize him again, her condition is permanent. Iggy says he is so sorry. Linus says he has nobody else, what is he supposed to do, she is his mom.
Casey tells Lauren that he doesn’t feel safe with all the cops around watching what they are doing. She says she knows there are bad cops, but they are not all bad. He tells him that the homeless are going to stay away and if someone comes in intoxicated, they are going to arrest them. They are not making them feel any safer, just a different kind of unsafe.
Linus’ cousin in Ohio is going to take him in permanently. Iggy can’t stop thinking about the case, they can’t convince his mother that Linus is her son.
In an emergency, there is a problem with a patient, he gets violent with Lauren, she plays hardball and yells at him, it works. Cassian is scrubbing up, Helen thanks him for the immigration lawyer but it was too late, her half-brother is dead. They weren’t close, but they wanted to be. She thought she had time. According to Islam, he had to be buried before the next sundown and she ran out of time. She nearly got there.

Iggy tells Linus’ mother that her son is dead, she is relieved to finally know the truth, now she knows he is not alone, needing him, out there. He tells her that she can grieve. He tells her that there is someone there is going through the exact same thing, and she thinks that she should speak to him. Linus walks in the room, he says he lost his mom, and he doesn’t know what to do or where to go. She says she is sorry about his mom, that must be hard.
Max is back in the hospital, he sees that Lauren has hired bouncers in the emergency room and no police.
Max sees Floyd and he says he is sorry. Floyd tells him he doesn’t care what he does in the hospital, he just wants to be there and he needs a hand getting back up. Max gives him his hand. Cassian and Helen are at home, she tells him that she shared the same father with her brother and they only met once but that is all she needed. Cassian tells her that he was adopted, his family is German/Irish and he had to teach himself how to be Korean, and he still doesn’t know-how.
