In tonight’s episode of Outdaughters, the family is out for the day in the lake, spending some time in the sun. They have one more day on their RV trip where they can forget the stress of the kids’ school and maybe having to go virtual. Danielle takes a break to call about the house, but she is playing phone tag.
She is worried that it is not progressing and won’t be accessible for the children. Mimi Is there as well, she tells Danielle that she needs a nap. Mimi gathers the children and tells them that when her children were small they used to do skits, play-acting, and she would like to get them to do the same thing. Mimi knows this is going to be challenging with all the ten children there.
Right after this trip they have an eye appointment for Hazel and they are really eager about this one because of COVID, they haven’t seen Dr. Megan in ten months. They are anticipating this appointment because they think this one is where they going to find out about her surgery.
Adam is hoping that the school will be pushed forward so that they can deal with Hazel first. The quints are looking forward to kindergarten and Adam and Danielle were excited because they are always together and it would be nice if they could interact with other children. But, with COVID, they don’t know what is going to happen.
A huge storm is on the horizon, Danielle and Adam, with the children, are trying to gather up all their belongings. It starts to thunder, Hazel is scared and she goes into the RV. With all the rain, the children have a lot of practice doing their play. Mimi says rain or shine, the show must go on.
Time for the play, the little ones do well and look so adorable, the older ones are all mixed up. Al & Dale are there and they are loving the show along with Adam and Danielle. Mimi is proud, she is looking at the parents and it brings her to watch their kids. She tells them that she is very blessed.
Next, the family sits down and makes home-made smores. Hazel says it was the best RV trip ever and she wants to do it again. Tomorrow is Hazel’s eye appointment, Danielle and Adam have to get up early so they are heading out so they can get rested up and back to reality. The drive is three hours and thirty minutes. They arrive at home and it is a huge relief that the stairs are done. And, a lot of progress has been done in the kitchen. There is a little bit of cabinet work that has to be done, but Danielle is happy and thinks it is awesome.
Danielle and Adam find out that Riley will be put in an advanced kindergarten class and they will remain in the same school, they can’t go to Blayke’s school and she will be doing online learning, her school is not opening up yet. They call a family meeting and it is not going to be easy to explain to the girls. They tell them that Blayke’s school is not going to start for months and months, they stay where they are. The girls are not happy, but this is the best decision for them.
Time for Hazel’s eye appointment. They are told that Hazel is getting more comfortable with the right eye. Hazel is starting to know what Dr. Megan is looking for and it is harder to get an accurate diagnosis. The location of her astigmatism has changed quite a bit in her right eye. Dr. Megan doesn’t think it is going to hinder her kindergarten, or serious enough to have surgery yet, maybe in a few years. Hazel is getting a new prescription, as for now, Hazel is in the clear.
It is the night before the first day of school, Danielle and Adam tell the girls again, that they are staying in the same school. Hazel is excited, this way she gets to see Graham. The girls have come around and are excited that all their friends are still there. They bought Blayke a little something special to be schooled at home, her own little special desk. The first thing that Blayke does is grab the frame with a picture of her and her father when she was born and puts it on her new desk.
It is the morning of the first day of kindergarten, the girls all get dressed up and ready. They head to the new stairs and take a photo of their first day. Danielle is grateful that they can stay at this school, but it is a simple drop-off, they can’t meet the teacher because of COVID.
THE END!
