In tonight’s Outdaughtered episode, the reason for Danielle’s suffering was still a mystery. She woke up one day not feeling herself and she was in so much pain from severe migraines that her husband Adam even brought her to the hospital. Danielle was tested at the hospital. They did bloodwork and they also carried out an EKG to monitor her heart. But the doctors couldn’t find anything.

They claimed at the moment she was tested that she was perfectly healthy and all the while she was still in pain. She was still experiencing severe migraines. Danielle and her husband later returned home and the pain eased but it never left. Danielle is not okay. She sometimes couldn’t participate in family moments because she didn’t have the energy to do so and she almost missed out on the quintuplets learning to ride their bikes.

Adam taught the younger girls. He’s been teaching them over a course of several months to ditch their training wheels and the moment had finally arrived for them to ride the bikes on their own. The girls all took it fairly easily. There weren’t a lot of falls or tears and so Danielle was glad she was there to witness it, but she wishes she was feeling better because she would have done more if she could.

Danielle was still feeling out of it the next few days and so she made an appointment with her doctor. She really needs answers. She couldn’t take the pain anymore and she was seeing the doctor while Adam was doing a fun Christmas thing with the girls. Adam had the girls write out their Christmas wish list.

Adam also told had them to do something charitable. His hometown was greatly affected by hurricanes and the local elementary school took on the damage. So, Adam had his girls think of ways to help the school and kids like them. Danielle and Adam later put together a charity drive. They collected supplies for the school and they had their girls do the signs.

The couple did their best to keep the kids’ minds off of what’s happening with Danielle and so it wasn’t until they later saw their mom with their heart monitor that they realized something was wrong. Danielle saw her doctor who recommended a heart specialist. She then saw the specialist that recommended she wear a heart monitor and hopefully the monitor would tell her what’s wrong with her.

Only before she got the monitor, she was masking her pain in front of the kids. They had no clue their mother was ill or that her many doctor visits were something concerning. It wasn’t really explained to them. They just believed their mother was doing normal adult things and it didn’t help that Danielle was always there doing stuff with them like normal. Danielle was experiencing numbness in her arms while she was taking the kids to see Santa.

She only revealed what she was going through with the other adults there and she put on a huge smile for the kids because at the time she hadn’t wanted to take away from their childhood happiness at seeing Santa. And she was soon so proud of Blayke who asked Santa for supplies for the school in Louisiana that she hadn’t wanted to take away from the moment.

Danielle also didn’t say anything during the charity drive. She wanted her girls to focus on the moment and thankfully the charity drive was a success. They got plenty of supplies to give to the elementary school. Blayke also got to see her Christmas wish come true. So, Danielle didn’t say anything then and the first sign that something could be wrong with their mom came when Danielle returned home one day with the heart monitor.

Even Adam was thrown. Adam didn’t know why someone as young as Danielle would have a problem with her heart but she had been given the heart monitor and they had needed to explain it to their children. Kids notice everything. They noticed when Danielle gets new earrings or when she’s wearing nail polish. She couldn’t hide the heart monitor from them even if she wanted to.

Danielle called her kids to her side. She showed them the heart monitor and she said that it was there to see if she was healthy. Danielle didn’t tell them about her pain or how this was an ongoing situation. She just gave them the bare minimum. The girls didn’t really ask a

lot of questions because again this was downplayed for them and so they kept moving. The family later took a trip to Louisiana. They were meeting with the principal of the elementary school and the principal surprised them by having the kids come out to meet the family. The girls even got to see their cousins from the area there. It also helped them feel prouder about what they did in collecting the supplies and so overall it was a good trip back home.

Danielle’s family came to check on her in the days afterward. They all wanted to know how she was doing since they found out about the heart monitor and they knew enough to become concerned. Danielle later saw the cardiologist. She was told there was a problem with her heart. It could be one of two things and one of them could lead to a stroke and needs surgery to fix but the other could close naturally on its own. And that’s the one Danielle wants.

Danielle has holes in her heart and it’s either going to fix itself or she’s going to need heart surgery.

THE END!
