In tonight’s Rebel episode, Cruz arrives at his son’s apartment. He has something to tell the kids. Over breakfast, he tells them he plans to retrieve their dead mother’s heart valve. Across the city, Rebel is with Lana who is in the hospital. They are talking to the police. Benji shows up, causing an uproar.
He swears he had nothing to do with this. He didn’t hire Angela. Just then, Cruz’s kids call Rebel. She heads to meet Cruz and the kids. They discuss the case and their mother Sharon. Rebel silently reflects on when Sharon was dying and her request that the kids and Cruz will be okay. Thinking of their conversation, Rebel tells Cruz not to do it.
Rebel visits with Misha. She tells her not to help Cruz. It’s too late, she already told him yes. Rebel just needs time to find the former employee who said that the valves were dangerous. In court, the judge recognizes Luke from his videos. After court, Benji offers Cruz some help since he lost his associate. Cruz doesn’t need his pity or help.
Ziggy and Grady come to see Rebel at the office. Ziggy helps Rebel cyber track the man, Duncan, who made comments about the valve. She tells Rebel about a brawl her friend Mallory was involved in and was suspended for. She was one of two students suspended while many were involved. It appears to be race-related. Meanwhile, Lana shows up to see Beni even though she should be resting.
The family heads to see Cruz. His kids are there. He has shared that he has let some of the staff go. Things have been rough. He needs their mother’s valve.
Cruz tells them he may have to sell the house. At the school, Rebel speaks with the athletic director about Mallory’s case. Cassidy is also there since she experienced the same thing. Rebel brings to the director’s attention all of his past indiscretions.
Luke talks about the case with Benji. Benji thinks he needs to come off of the case since the judge cannot seem to get passed it all. Meanwhile, Cruz and his kids start really talking.
Rebel wins her fight for Mallory. He sees where he went wrong. Rebel also needs a favor from him. He needs to run in a 5k so she can get to a person of interest. He agrees. They arrive at the race. The director wins. It looks like Rebel will be able to get to Duncan’s brother after all.
Cruz gets his kid’s blessing. Lana tells Benji needs to think about his clients and the shady things he does. At the race, Ziggy gets up on stage after her director receives the trophy. She urges anyone to come forward as Stonemore is sponsoring the race. A man whose husband is a chemist for Stonemore comes to see Rebel.
Just as Cruz is about to exhume his wife, Rebel comes yelling for them to stop. She has a real whistleblower and she doesn’t want to see him go through all of this. Cruz’s daughter then reveals she is pregnant. They are all thrilled.
Luke tells Cassidy to stop helping the other side. He has been sidelined. Angela finally visits Lana. She thinks they are one and the same. But Lana needs to let her go or she will blow up their whole world, especially Rebel’s. She drops that Grady has a secret son before leaving with a smile. Lana lets her go.
