The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) could land in some hot water down the road, but it probably won’t be his fault this time around.
It looks like Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) will be the reason Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) paternity results point to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) as the father of her baby.
In reality, the “baby daddy” should be John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), but that’s a revelation that’ll have to wait. It seems like a shocker that B&B writers want to save until after Jacqueline MacInnes Wood gets back from her upcoming maternity leave.
In the meantime, Thomas will struggle with his feelings for Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle), whose marriage to Liam will fall apart. Thomas will be there to pick up the pieces with Vinny nudging him the whole time.
This story path is clear based on previous 2021 preview info for this year and a good dose of soap logic.
The Bold and the Beautiful has set up a predictable route to Thomas and Hope being a legitimate couple, but you can bet Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) will be livid.
Even if Hope ends up happy and in love, Brooke may never approve of Thomas or truly trust him with her daughter’s heart.
Furthermore, Brooke might end up battling some suspicions about the paternity test results. Sooner or later, it should come to light that Steffy’s baby actually belongs to Finn.
Whether that eventually comes about through a baby medical crisis or some other bombshell, Brooke might point the finger at Thomas.
Will Brooke accuse Thomas of tampering with the results to steal Hope for himself? To be fair, it’s a move that would’ve been in Thomas’ wheelhouse in the past.
Even if Brooke finds out about Vinny’s involvement, she’s probably going to think Thomas put his buddy up to altering the paternity test.
It’s just tough to imagine any outcome where Brooke views Thomas as blameless here. Will Thomas be forced to defend himself against Brooke’s accusations? Could that actually work in Thomas’ favor and convince Hope to defend him?
Whatever the case, it sounds like Vinny’s about to make a giant mess that’ll explode into some bigger messes all year long. As other B&B news emerges, we’ll bring you updates.
