The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) may fight back after Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) custody move, so we could see this dad defend Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) as Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) primary caregiver.
Ever since Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) got back to town, she’s repeatedly brought up how Douglas should be living with his father.
Taylor doesn’t like the idea of Douglas growing up around all the Logan influence and feels his Forrester family should have more sway – starting with Thomas.
Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) are clearly quite impressionable when it comes to Taylor.
Once Taylor started hinting that Thomas needed to be Douglas’ primary caregiver again, Ridge and Steffy started harping on the Douglas custody issue, too.
It’s obvious no one involved here is going to let this go, so it’s only a matter of time until some custody chaos explodes. Hope certainly isn’t going to approve if Thomas swoops in wanting to take over as the main parent again.
Hope has grown to love having Douglas at the cabin and will surely put up a fight on making any major changes to the custody agreement.
Since Hope and Deacon are growing closer, she’ll no doubt confide in custody problems that come along.
Deacon may feel the need to step up for his daughter and prove he can truly be there for Hope.
Even though Taylor’s suggestions will be to blame for putting the idea in Thomas’ head, Deacon may feel a little responsible anyway.
Deacon might think his presence added to the turmoil and pressured Thomas to get legal custody back.
With that in mind, Deacon may feel a sense of responsibility when it comes to Douglas and trying to fix the situation for Hope.
Deacon may also want a chance to lash out over the past and remind Thomas of his former treatment of Hope. He might go into protective dad mode as he lashes out over Thomas’ old obsession and how Thomas manipulated Douglas as part of his plans.
Thomas has worked to turn his life around, so he may expect Deacon to understand that due to his own reformed clains. Even so, there’s the potential for an exciting Deacon and Thomas faceoff when the time is right.
This could be a great opportunity for Deacon to show off his protective side and fight to keep Douglas mostly in Hope’s care.
Naturally, that doesn’t mean Hope will win the war, even with Deacon in her corner!
Thomas is indeed doing better and may have a good shot at forcing a custody agreement overhaul. We’ll bring you updates as other B&B news becomes available.
