The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Eric Forrester (John McCook) may forgive Shauna Fulton’s (Denise Richards) lie, so his divorce from Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) could spark a new romance! There’s the potential for Eric to move on with Shauna and leave Quinn absolutely furious.
B&B fans will recall how Eric went easy on Shauna after her Vegas marriage scheme with Quinn blew up. Shauna was the one who tied the knot with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), but Quinn got most of the blame for setting it all in motion.
Eric knows how Quinn operates – and he knows Shauna is a ride-or-die bestie who always seems to get caught up in Quinn’s messes.
Although it was Shauna’s idea to grab Quinn’s jacket and lie about sleeping with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), Eric may hold Quinn responsible.
If Quinn hadn’t been cheating on Eric, there wouldn’t have been a reason for Shauna to cover for her. Shauna was proving her loyalty – and that’s something Eric’s about to realize Quinn is sorely lacking!
In the Friday, June 25 episode, Eric had some sweet things to say about Shauna. He thanked her for serving as sunshine and lighting up his life during a difficult time. Shauna also praised Eric for being a special man and hoped Quinn appreciated how lucky she was to have him.
It’s clear that Shauna and Eric have a nice bond that they could build on. Shauna will no doubt be sorry for contributing to Eric’s pain in any way. Her goal was only to protect Quinn and protect Eric’s heart as a result.
Shauna’s motives were pure, so Eric may end up giving her a pass on this.
Of course, Quinn has made one mistake too many and will almost certainly be kicked to the curb. It’s one thing to forgive Shauna for what she viewed as a helpful lie, especially since she’s not married to Eric.
Quinn is the wife who landed in the bed of a close family friend, so it’d be understandable for Eric to absolve Shauna and not Quinn.
In the aftermath of Quinn and Carter’s cheating exposure, Eric’s going to need someone to lean on. Shauna will inevitably apologize and check on Eric, so it could set the stage for them to grow closer.
Since Quinn got caught up in her attraction and connection to Carter, maybe the perfect B&B payback would be for Shauna to do the same thing with Eric. Shauna could betray her best friend for once and start hitting sheets with Eric!
Shauna and Eric could even become a real couple if that’s how the writers want to take things. Regardless, Eric seems poised to divorce Quinn and move on. There’s always a chance it’ll be with Shauna and bring Quinn’s outrage in the process.
