The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Eric Forrester (John McCook) will reveal a painful secret to Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer), so this could involve the real reason for the bedroom disconnect and test their reunion.
B&B fans know Eric feigned sleep to avoid making love to Quinn, which led to many viewers speculating that Eric was tricking Quinn and out for revenge. However, there are some good reasons to think something else is going on here.
For starters, it just doesn’t make sense for Eric to be that close to having Quinn out of his life and then suddenly rip up the divorce papers.
Eric’s story about anything Quinn did paling in comparison to Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) actions made sense as a reason for his sudden turnaround.
In an interview with SOD, John McCook also spoke of Eric’s enduring love for Quinn and how she made a “very good point…that really made Eric think.
When Quinn talked about Eric forgiving the betrayals of others, that was something that stuck with Eric and ultimately sparked a change.
There was nothing in McCook’s comments to suggest anything vengeful or shady was going down.
Furthermore, Eric didn’t look angry at the end of the August 20 episode when his sleeping deception was revealed. It was clearly a situation where Eric seemed sad and distant instead.
This just doesn’t add up to a revenge plot because what would even be the point?
To make Quinn suffer for a while just so she can eventually go back to Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor? That seems like a giant waste of Eric’s time when he could just divorce Quinn and move on.
Since this doesn’t seem to be a payback plot, what’s the real reason for Eric putting this lovemaking wall up again?
It could be a health issue that’s preventing Eric from physically being able to get the job done, though it’d be a bit strange for Eric to take Quinn back without revealing that.
Of course, it could also be that Eric’s nervous now that Quinn’s been with much younger Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and that smoking muscular bod of his.
Is Eric feeling insecure and worried Quinn won’t desire him anymore?
Regardless, Eric will make a confession during the week of August 23-27. Eric will reveal a tough truth to Quinn, so we’ll see exactly what he has to say and how Quinn handles it.
