The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that an important faceoff is coming up. B&B fans know Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) waiting to hear the results of her paternity test – and she’s still hoping for the best.
Steffy desperately wants this to be John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) baby, but it’s going to be revealed as Liam’s child instead.
Of course, that’ll be difficult news for everyone caught up in the baby drama. Steffy will hate that can’t make Finn happy through a child of his own, and Finn will indeed be disappointed he’s not the biological father, too. Just because Finn’s sticking with Steffy anyway doesn’t mean he won’t be upset.
Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) will be crushed and seemingly certain that her marriage must end thanks to this Liam “baby daddy” proof. Liam will have to watch Hope crumble and know his own reckless decisions were to blame.
However, Liam will also have to prepare for what these paternity results mean. Liam assured Steffy that he’d step up if he was the father, so that’s what he’ll intend to do. That brings us to the important faceoff we mentioned.
It seems likely there’ll be a man-to-man showdown in the aftermath of the paternity revelation. It’ll be a good idea for Liam and Finn to clear the air and let each other know where they stand.
Finn insisted things would be different if he was the father of Steffy’s new baby, but he won’t get his wish at this point in the story.
Although these paternity results were almost certainly altered to make Liam the dad instead of Finn, they’ll be operating under the assumption that they’re legit.
With that in mind, both Finn and Liam may feel the need to lay down some ground rules for what’s ahead. Liam may find himself getting a bit territorial once he’s got confirmation that this is another “Steam” baby.
Just like with Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Collette Gray), Liam may argue that he won’t let Finn stand in the way of spending time with his next son or daughter.
Liam will plan to continue his successful co-parenting arrangement with Steffy, so he may warn Finn to respect the boundaries of that agreement.
Liam won’t want Finn thinking he can just steal the father spot now that they have this DNA proof.
Of course, Finn will want to reiterate that successful co-parenting doesn’t give Liam a license to keep reeling Steffy in – and it certainly doesn’t mean Liam can cheat with Steffy again. Finn may remind Liam that he expects the boundaries of his own relationship with Steffy to be respected, too.
Finn has established a presence in Kelly’s life and will insist on doing the same with her little brother or sister. This baby is half Steffy’s – and Finn may argue that he’ll be a stepdad to both of Liam’s children one day.
Finn might want to be sure Liam understands that they all have to be on the same team when it comes to making sure the kids grow up happy.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say there’s bound to be plenty of tension as everybody tries to put the kids first.
Liam and Finn’s inevitably post-paternity results faceoff could get heated, but hopefully it’ll be good for them to put it all out there and share their demands for the future.
