The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that some shocking curveballs are ahead for Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer). Quinn’s about to take center stage in some exciting drama, so look for her to be involved in several major storylines in the coming months.
However, there’s one story in particular we want to focus on – and it involves another character who could use some family members. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) will get more of a backstory soon enough.
We’ll learn more about Finn, so that means learning about his family, too.
In the new issue of SOD, B&B Head Writer and Executive Producer Bradley Bell offered some hints about Quinn’s next story. Bell definitely seems excited about giving Rena Sofer something new and dramatic to sink her teeth into.
Let’s look at what Bell had to say and see if we can figure out the deeper meaning.
“Rena is going to re-emerge front and center as a new man enters her life and she fights again with doing the right thing,” Bell said. “She wants to be the best Forrester matriarch she can possibly be.”
Bell added that Quinn and Eric have “a very exciting, unexpected twist in store for Quinn and Eric.” What does all this really mean? We have to look at the specific language Bell is using, which perhaps shifts away from the typical cheating storyline.
Notice that Bell simply said a new man enters Quinn’s life and that she struggles to do what’s right. Doesn’t that seem like a weird way to phrase things? Why isn’t there any talk of temptation or a romantic interloper?
It seems like Bell was intentionally being vague because that’s not where this story’s headed at all.
Plus, Bell was clear about Quinn wanting to be a strong Forrester matriarch. That doesn’t line up with any kind of romantic temptation that might lead her to pull away from Eric and the life they’ve built together.
We’ve also got this talk about an unexpected twist, so perhaps the twist involves something besides another love interest possibility. B&B honestly seems pretty committed to Quinn and Eric as a pairing, so we highly doubt they’re going to go in another direction anytime soon.
Instead, we have to consider the idea that perhaps this new man that enters Finn’s life is a long-lost child. Could Quinn be Finn’s birth mom? That would give Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) another half-brother on canvas, so it’d be interesting to see how that would develop.
Quinn might struggle with whether to tell Eric, Finn and everyone else about this buried connection.
Finn offered Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) his mother’s ring when he proposed and insisted he’d had it for years. That implies Finn’s mother is dead since she hasn’t been wearing this ring, but what if that was his adoptive mom?
That would open the door for Finn to have a birth mother he ultimately meets, so Quinn might be a good fit here. Could Quinn be Finn’s biological mom? Will Quinn make that discovery and have to figure out her next move?
