The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Friday, January 29, reveal that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) fumed at Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) and Zende Forrester Dominguez (Delon de Metz) at the Forrester mansion.
Ridge totally busted Zoe and Zende for talking about their “undeniable heat” and he ranted that Zoe should go tell Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) about her feelings.
Ridge revealed that he saw Zoe lean into kiss Zende, and he blasted Zende as well. Ridge said that he didn’t care who was to blame or who started this, and he demanded to know how long this had been going on.
“Shame on you!” Ridge bellowed at Zoe. Zoe insisted that this was just a conversation, and Ridge fired back that Carter was out there planning a wedding.
Ridge continued ranting, and Zende tried to get a word in edgewise, saying that he and Zoe didn’t cross the line. “In whose book, Zende!” Ridge yelled. Zoe stammered that Ridge was right and that she shouldn’t have put Zende in this position.
Zoe said that she got scared about how fast everything was going and that she didn’t want to lose Carter.
“Because Zende just turned you down!” Ridge pointed out. “I think you’re scared of me going to Carter.” Zoe said that it would hurt Carter if Ridge told him the truth, and Ridge bellowed that Carter was his family. Zende attempted to say that this was between himself, Zoe, and Carter, but Ridge wasn’t having it.
Zoe said that none of this changes how she feels about Carter. “He’s everything to me,” Zoe said, “And we both know what I mean to him. Please don’t tell Carter – it will break his heart,” Zoe pled. Ridge turned around and walked out.
Over at Forrester Creations, Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) and Carter talked. Carter gushed, all excited about his upcoming wedding to Zoe. Paris suddenly said that there was something that Carter needed to know about Zoe, and that she couldn’t be quiet anymore.
Carter interrupted Paris, saying that if this was about Zoe’s past, he already knew.
Just then, Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) walked in looking for Zoe. Donna chatted for a few minutes, and this interrupted Paris’ momentum. Once Donna was gone, Carter said that he had a conference call to take, and that he didn’t need to hear any more about Zoe. Paris took off.
Later, Donna was working alone in the CEO office when Ridge walked in. Donna flashed some pictures of Zoe modeling for some upcoming publication, and Ridge responded with low enthusiasm.
Ridge wondered if Donna knew where Carter was, and Donna assumed that he went home, since he and Zoe were picking a wedding date tonight.
Back at the Forrester mansion, Zende was there alone when Paris walked in. Paris confronted Zende, saying that she knew what was going on. “I know my sister’s into you,” Paris said. Zende said that Zoe was engaged to Carter, and Paris said that’s why this is so messed up.
“I would never move in on Carter’s fiancé,” Zende said. “I think Zoe’s hoping you will,” Paris replied. “My sister is crushing on you and Carter is getting played, and you’re not doing much to stop it, are you?” Paris said. “Nothing happened!” Zende insisted. “Not that Zoe didn’t try, ” Paris fired back.
Paris said that she believed that Zoe was freaking out because she’s about to get married, and that deep down she’s scared of getting hurt. Zende insisted that he never encouraged Zoe to pursue him, and that he told Zoe that they weren’t an option. “I love my sister, but Carter deserves better,” Paris said.
Paris then asked Zende what he wanted. “You want to know what I want?” Zende said. “You. I want to get to know you better.”
In the backstage area at Forrester Creations, Carter caught up with Zoe. Zoe hurriedly told Carter that she had reached a decision. Carter thought that Zoe seemed worked up, and he wondered if she was ok.
Zoe told Carter that she wanted to pick a wedding date tonight. “I want to get married, right here, right now,” Zoe gushed.
Carter was a bit shocked, and Zoe said that her hesitation before was because a lot of men in her life had let her down. Carter said that he wasn’t like that, and that he was committed to her just like she was committed to him. Just then, Ridge walked up in the wings and hid behind some clothes racks.
With Ridge listening, Zoe reiterated that she wanted to get married right away. “You are the man for me,” Zoe said, as Ridge reeled. “I know that for sure now.” Carter and Zoe each said, “I love you,” and Zoe promised to be the kind of woman that Carter deserved.
