The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, May 28, reveals that Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) had a heartbreaking request for Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) while Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) seemed to reach a turning point when it came to Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
At the cabin on Friday’s B&B episode, Liam ignored Bill’s repeated attempts to get in touch with him over the phone. He felt it was pointless to pick up since he knew what Bill would say.
Liam assumed that Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) might take him into custody right away, so Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) wondered if Liam was really prepared to do this. She asked if doing the right thing was really worth losing Liam’s family.
Liam thought they already agreed he would turn himself in, but Hope was a bit panicky and wanted to explore this from every angle. She felt the kids needed Liam – and Hope needed him, too.
Hope also pointed out that Bill could land in prison for his part in all this. She wondered what would happen to Will Spencer (Finnegan George), Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Spencer Publications.
Hope asked if Liam was really going to do all this over Vinny, but she cried over how horrible she sounded. She just meant that Liam going to prison wouldn’t bring Vinny back.
Liam tried to figure out if Hope was agreeing with Bill now and thought he shouldn’t go through with his confession.
At Forrester Creations, Thomas walked in on Brooke talking to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) about her concerns regarding Bill. Thomas admitted something was up with Bill and couldn’t believe all the horrible things he had to say about Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero).
Thomas mentioned how he wound up in Bill’s office, where Bill was full of contempt. It was almost like Bill wanted the person who killed Vinny to get away with it.
Thomas got choked up over how Vinny didn’t deserve to die – and then excused himself since he had to take Douglas back to the cabin.
Brooke was surprised to learn Douglas stayed with Thomas an extra night. She was happy about Liam and Hope having this time to put their family back together.
Thomas knew it was all Hope wanted and he wanted that for her. “You really mean that, Thomas?” Brooke asked.
“Sincerely,” Thomas replied – and Brooke seemed to buy that more than usual. She wasn’t ready to start a Thomas fan club, but she was beginning to see that he was consistent in his support of Hope.
Brooke smiled and assured Ridge that she wanted to believe in Thomas again.
Thomas and Douglas showed up at the cabin, where Liam and Hope were still engrossed in their discussion. Douglas sensed something was wrong, but Hope reassured him. The kid wanted to get his baseball mitt so he could practice with Daddy.
Douglas got confirmation that Thomas would be at his little league game next week and asked if Liam would come as well. Liam got emotional as he crouched down and said he was so sorry he couldn’t promise that right now.
Douglas told Hope that he’d see her later, so she promised she’d be there.
“You’ll be here, too. Right, Liam?” Douglas asked. Liam said he was always with Douglas as he fought to keep tears from spilling. Once Hope was alone with Liam, she acknowledged that coming clean was the right thing to do.
Even so, Hope wondered if they really wanted to go to the police station right now and risk their entire life – their entire family! Liam pulled sobbing Hope close to comfort her as they struggled with the reality of their earlier decision.
At Spencer Publications, Bill was frustrated since Liam refused to pick up the phone. He left a voicemail urging Liam not to do something he couldn’t take back – and then Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) entered looking for Liam.
Talk turned to Vinny again, so Wyatt wondered if Bill had heard any inside info from his connections. Wyatt wanted to know if the cops knew who killed Thomas’ best friend, but Bill wasn’t interested in discussing Vinny.
Bill once again tried to call Liam later as he paced around his office. He was desperate to get in touch with Liam before he confessed to the cops. We’ll fill you in as other B&B news and updates emerge.
