The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) could be lying about Jack Finnegan (Ted King) being John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) bio dad. Finn’s true father might still be out there somewhere since we just can’t take Sheila at her word.
During Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) latest confrontation with Sheila at the hospital, she ranted about what a liar Sheila was. Sheila’s deception and manipulation have become the focus now that she’s back in the picture.
With that in mind, who’s to say Sheila isn’t deceiving and manipulating Jack?
We know Jack and Sheila had an affair, which Sheila claims resulted in her pregnancy. However, it wouldn’t be the first time a woman got knocked up by someone and tried to pass the baby off as another man’s.
Jack was cheating on Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) at the time, so it’s not like Sheila would’ve felt obligated to stay loyal to the man she was having an affair with.
Sheila could’ve been hooking up with as many men as she wanted – and maybe one of those men fathered Finn instead.
B&B fans have seen no DNA proof that Jack is Finn’s biological father, so we really only have Sheila’s word to go on.
Of course, Sheila’s word means absolutely nothing! This woman lies as easily as she breathes, so she might have some good reasons for lying once again.
What if Finn’s true father was a much worse option in Sheila’s eyes? Since Sheila was willing to give Finn up and walk away, that tells us she cared about her baby – at least in her own twisted way.
Sheila regrets giving Finn up, but she’s still grateful to Jack and Li on some level for raising such a fine young man.
Perhaps Sheila thought Jack would do a better job of caring for Finn than another potential father candidate. That would’ve given Sheila a reason to dupe Jack into thinking he was the daddy.
It’s a possibility worth considering, especially since we know from fall preview info that a mysterious character from the past will return – and this person will bring some family issues to Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) world.
If Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) resurfaces, just imagine the drama B&B could get out of making him Finn’s biological father instead.
That’d make Finn and Hope siblings, so it’d add another interesting layer to the story and provide one more bomb to drop.
Bottom line, there’s no guarantee Sheila’s telling the truth about Jack’s bio dad status.
There’s always a chance someone else actually fathered Finn, so the show could reveal that down the road. We’ll pass along updates as other news rolls in.
