The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, August 23, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) marriage certificate wasn’t filed yet – and Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) made a dangerous demand regarding Hayes Forrester Finnegan. Here’s how it all played out on Monday’s exciting B&B episode.
In the bedroom at the cliff house, Steffy assured Finn that he wasn’t to blame for anything that had happened with Sheila.
Steffy felt their son would look up to Finn, who was nothing like selfish and deceitful Sheila at all.
Finn wanted this night to be about them, but the topic of Sheila came up again soon enough.
Steffy felt like Finn didn’t understand the pain that woman had inflicted and talked about how much had been going on. They hadn’t even had time to go down to the courthouse and file their marriage certificate.
Finn reiterated that he wouldn’t let any harm come to their family, but Steffy still felt like he didn’t grasp the danger.
Steffy talked about how important it was to keep Sheila away from Hayes Forrester Finnegan and wanted Finn to promise he’d have no contact with his birth mother – not now, not ever.
Finn looked uneasy as he flashed back to looking at his text exchange with Sheila. Once Steffy got a notification on her phone, she told Finn it was from Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) about their upcoming meeting in San Francisco.
Steffy wished she could postpone it since she hated to be away from Finn and the kids – even for a day.
Finn told Steffy to repeat after him: “Finn and the kids will be fine while I’m gone tomorrow.” Steffy ultimately did what she was told, so Finn was satisfied and made love to her.
Afterward, Finn once again told Steffy that he’d never let anyone interfere with their family.
Meanwhile, Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) was wearing Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) shirt as she seductively approached him and pushed him to brush her hair.
Brooke eventually realized he was distracted about Sheila, so Ridge ranted about Sheila’s blood running through his grandson’s veins and admitted he was angry.
Brooke gave Ridge a massage and insisted they were doing everything they could to make sure Steffy was protected along with Hayes.
Brooke eventually shed Ridge’s shirt to reveal lingerie underneath and distracted him by hitting the sheets together.
The distraction worked for a while, but Ridge was back to worrying about Sheila later.
Brooke felt like they had to focus on the positives since Steffy was married to an amazing man and had a beautiful new child with him. She assured Ridge that nobody would tear that family apart – not even Sheila.
In Sheila’s room, she reminded Jack Finnegan (Ted King) that she gave birth to his baby after their affair.
Sheila pointed out that Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) had no idea that he cheated and wondered how Finn would feel about being lied to his entire life.
Jack was adamant that Sheila and Finn would never have a relationship, but this reminded Sheila of how Jack ordered her around when she was pregnant.
Sheila felt Jack exploited her when she was vulnerable and recalled how he told her that Li was trying to get pregnant but couldn’t.
Jack had acted like it was a “twist of fate” that Sheila conceived and convinced her to hand Finn over so he could raise him with Li.
Sheila kept ranting, but Jack decided he wouldn’t be manipulated by her. He suggested it was high time that he told Li and Finn the truth – that he was Finn’s biological father.
Sheila argued that she’d kept Jack’s secret all these years and would continue to keep it if she got just one thing in return.
Sheila felt sure that Steffy had told Finn not to see her, so Finn asked if Sheila could blame Steffy under the circumstances.
If Jack really wanted Sheila to leave and never look back, she wanted to hold her grandson in her arms just once.
Sheila pushed Jack to make it happen since she was desperate to meet Hayes and see Finn one more time. Then, Sheila vowed to be out of Jack’s life forever.
Jack asked how he could believe Sheila after all the trouble she’d caused, but she swore she was telling the truth.
After everything Sheila had given up, she wondered how Jack could deny her this. “Is it really too much to ask for everything you’re going to get in return?” Sheila asked as she applied more pressure.
Jack looked annoyed, but he said he’d speak with Finn and left.
Once Sheila was alone, she gazed at the text exchange on her phone and smiled at the thought of Hayes.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Sheila will cause even more chaos as this storyline heats up.
