The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, December 13, reveals that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) admitted Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) wasn’t evil, but Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) insisted Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) still loved Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) deep down.
At the cliff house, Ridge was blown away to see Taylor, so they hugged and began reconnecting. Taylor admitted she didn’t give Steffy or Thomas a heads-up on her arrival since she was hoping to surprise them.
Ridge let Taylor know she’d been missed in LA – though he knew Taylor was doing important work where she was needed most.
Taylor hated that she’d missed some big milestones happening with their family, but she was glad to be home and had missed Ridge along with the kids and grandkids.
After Ridge talked about Taylor always putting others first, he said that was one of the things he loved most about “Doc.” Taylor was taken aback over Ridge using a nickname she hadn’t heard in a long time, but she enjoyed hearing it again.
Meanwhile, Steffy headed back to Forrester Creations, where she played a bit of a guessing game with Thomas until finally blurting out their mom was home. Thomas was delighted as they agreed on a get-together that Ridge would be part of.
Steffy noted that Brooke was part of why Taylor had been gone so long. Thomas and Steffy let their minds wander to what might’ve happened if Ridge had picked Taylor instead of Brooke all those years ago.
Although Thomas felt Brooke had room for improvement, he didn’t think she was “some awful, evil person.”
Steffy got that Thomas meant Brooke wasn’t on Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) level. Despite Ridge’s love for Brooke, Steffy felt like Ridge was still in love with Taylor deep down.
Next on Monday’s B&B episode, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) paid Brooke a visit at her place, where they discussed Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) before talk turned to Brooke’s marriage.
Brooke admitted things were solid in her relationship with Ridge until Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) returned.
After Brooke explained that Deacon claimed to be a changed man, she noted that Ridge wasn’t buying it. Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle), on the other hand, wanted to give her father another chance.
Brooke felt rather stuck since she couldn’t support Hope without causing trouble with Ridge. She really didn’t want this to interfere in her marriage.
Once Katie found out about Ridge’s latest ultimatum for Hope, Brooke assured her sister that she shut him down. Even so, Brooke didn’t like the idea of pushing Ridge away.
Katie argued that Ridge wasn’t being sensitive to Hope’s situation, especially since Deacon was begging to have a role in his daughter’s life. She urged Brooke to remember how they felt when their own father abandoned them.
Katie thought it was reasonable for Brooke to get behind the idea of Hope and Deacon forming a relationship.
Katie suggested Brooke was just trying to give her own child something she never had growing up, but Brooke still seemed uneasy about the conflict with Ridge.
