The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, July 12, reveals that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) phone arrival stopped the prison transfer and put Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) back in Hope Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) arms. Let’s talk about how it all went down on Monday’s B&B episode.
At the Forrester mansion, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) remained agitated over Thomas going MIA, but he admitted that his son had been in touch and said he’d explain later.
Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) acknowledged that Quinn Forrester’s (Rena Sofer) portrait was still up and hoped it didn’t mean Eric Forrester (John McCook) was giving her another chance.
Eric argued that he’d given Quinn chance after chance – only to be cheated on. He was even more upset since Quinn did it with someone he loved and trusted.
Ridge was still in shock over Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) doing something like that.
Brooke insisted that Carter was a good man, so she thought it was obvious Quinn had “infected” him. Eric didn’t even know what to think of Carter anymore and remained distraught over the betrayal.
At Forrester Creations, Quinn arrived with a box since she needed to clear her stuff out of the office. She admitted she was hoping she’d run into Carter.
After Carter mentioned the resignation letter he was working on, Quinn didn’t approve of that step.
Carter suggested that things would never be the same since he had an affair with the boss’ wife.
Carter also mentioned talking to Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes), who no longer wanted anything to do with him.
Quinn argued that Carter and Zoe weren’t even a couple when their steamy connection happened.
Quinn said Zoe was most upset about her lying to Eric, and Carter agreed that they’d both let Eric down.
After Eric got a call summoning him to the Forrester mansion, Quinn insisted she didn’t want Carter to lose everything he’d worked so hard for.
Carter thanked Quinn before she wished him good luck.
Once Carter was gone, Brooke waltzed in for a confrontation. Quinn wondered if her rival was there to gloat or make sure she didn’t steal a stapler.
Brooke didn’t care what Quinn took as long as she went away.
After some brief clashing, Quinn pointed out that she didn’t owe Brooke anything. Brooke declared that all Quinn had to do was stay faithful, but she blew it!
Back at the Forrester mansion, Carter entered to find Eric and Ridge. He tried to apologize, but Eric snapped that it wasn’t what Carter was there for.
Eric added that all he’d ever asked for was loyalty and couldn’t believe Carter did this to him.
Eric asked if this is who Carter always was and feared he was just now realizing it. “You had an affair with Quinn! You slept with my wife!” Eric shouted.
At the police station, Hope and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) pushed Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) to let Liam go.
Thomas talked about the video that proved Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) threw himself in front of the car. He insisted that Vinny did it with the hope that Thomas and Hope would be together.
Baker said that sounded like some compelling evidence he’d like to see, but Thomas admitted it was on his phone – which he didn’t have. Without any proof, Baker refused to stop Liam’s prison transfer.
Suddenly, an officer brought in a special delivery for Baker. It was Thomas’ phone, which still had the video on it to his surprise.
Thomas played the video for Baker and pointed out that Liam wasn’t at fault.
Hope argued that Baker could make a call and stop the transfer, but time was running out.
Hope looked out the window and could see that Liam was being led to the transport van. After Hope bolted out the door, Thomas and Baker weren’t far behind.
Baker wound up signaling to the guard, who let Liam out of the van and took his handcuffs off.
A baffled Liam ran to Hope, who jumped into his arms. Liam didn’t understand any of this, but Hope said he was finally coming home and kissed him passionately.
