The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, July 5, reveals that Eric Forrester (John McCook) kicked Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) out of the house and fired her while Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) found Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) phone.
At the Forrester mansion, Quinn admitted Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) was telling the truth about their affair.
Quinn told Eric how sorry she was and how she’d never forgive herself for this betrayal. She made it clear that she desperately still wanted her marriage.
Eric turned to Carter and berated him since he’d been treated like a member of the family. Carter reiterated that this wasn’t planned – that it was just something they got pulled into. However, Eric wondered if Carter knew how absurd that sounded.
Quinn insisted that was the truth and began ranting about how Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) blabbed to Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), who was now trying to destroy her marriage.
“Please don’t let them do this to us!” Quinn begged on Monday’s B&B episode.
Eric insisted that Paris and Brooke weren’t the ones who lied and cheated.
Paris finally piped up to apologize for staying silent, but she pointed out that Quinn pleaded with her to keep her mouth shut. Paris added that Quinn said Eric was the man she loved, so Quinn yelled that Eric really was the man she loved.
Quinn explained that her affair with Carter was a mistake – one that happened while she was lonely and craving human connection. Carter wouldn’t make excuses, but he was so sorry for his part in all this.
Eric wondered if Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) and Flo Logan (Katrina Bowden) knew, but they assured him they were in the dark.
Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) confessed her role in the mess since it was obvious by now, so Wyatt ranted at Quinn for letting Shauna cover her tracks.
Quinn lashed out at Brooke again before turning her attention back to Eric. She knew her husband had the greatest capacity for forgiveness and begged Eric not to let this be the end for them.
Quinn promised to never disappoint Eric again, but he argued that her promise meant nothing to him. Eric admitted that he loved and trusted Quinn, but he wouldn’t make that mistake again.
Eric wanted Quinn out of his life, out of his company and out of his family. “Get out of this house,” Eric snarled.
After Quinn glared at Brooke, she reluctantly left the premises. Eric looked distraught as he took a seat while all the guests stared at him.
At Forrester Creations, Hope guessed that Katie Logan (Heather Tom) was thinking about Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). Hope felt they were in the same boat since the men they loved were behind bars for who knows how long.
After talk turned to Thomas, Hope admitted she’d been struggling to get in touch with him since Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) wanted to spend some time with his dad.
The conversation shifted back to Bill, so Hope wondered how he could be so reckless and wrong.
Katie didn’t think placing blame was helpful and just wanted to concentrate on what Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears) was going to get the Spencer men out.
Hope wanted to have a one-on-one meeting with Justin to make sure he was exploring all possible angles. She was certain there had to be another explanation for what went down that night and wanted Justin to find it before time ran out.
In jail, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was led out to join Bill in the visiting area. Bill admitted that he called Justin to meet with them. He warned that Justin had better get his “butt in gear” and find what they needed to disprove the DA’s case.
Bill intended to find another attorney if Justin didn’t come through as usual and didn’t understand what was taking so long.
In the caged basement area, Justin approached Thomas and thought he seemed to be holding up pretty well down there. Thomas insisted he was going crazy and demanded to be let out.
Justin refused to let Thomas reveal the truth about Vinny Walker’s (Joe LoCicero) suicide since he wanted to ensure his takeover of Spencer Publications.
Thomas argued that he didn’t care what happened to Bill, but he felt the truth should come out for Liam’s sake. He understood Justin’s anger, but Justin fired back that he was way past anger and was focused on sweet revenge.
Justin insisted that Bill was behind bars and that’s where he’d stay.
As Justin sauntered out, a frustrated Thomas called out after him to no avail. Justin made it to his jailhouse meeting with Liam and Bill, which brought some tension.
Bill didn’t want any more excuses and wanted to know why Justin was dragging his feet. “We should be out of here by now!” Bill shouted.
Bill brought up how he previously told Justin to put private investigators on the case and figure out what the police might be missing. He also pushed Justin to talk to Thomas and see what info he could offer as Vinny’s friend.
Back at the office, Justin got a visit from a concerned Hope. She was disappointed when Justin had no new evidence to offer in Liam’s case, but he promised he was doing everything he could to rectify the situation.
Hope said she didn’t need promises and just wanted Liam home. She felt there must be something else they could do.
While Justin took a call, Hope got a text from Douglas asking her to call Daddy again. Hope then called Thomas and recognized the ringtone from Thomas’ favorite TV show.
Hope realized the phone was in the drawer of the desk and demanded to know why Justin had Thomas’ phone. “Answer me! What is going on?!” Hope asked angrily.
