The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, June 7, reveals that Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) defended Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) to an enraged Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) while Kelly Spencer’s (Avalon and Collette Gray) locked-up daddy worried Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
At Forrester Creations on Monday’s B&B episode, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) reeled over Brooke’s news that Liam was responsible for Vinny Walker’s (Joe LoCicero) hit-and-run.
Brooke revealed that Liam had been in jail all night following his confession. She assured Ridge this was a tragic accident under freak circumstances, but Ridge struggled to understand how this could’ve happened.
Brooke insisted it wasn’t easy for Liam to come forward, which riled Ridge up since a man was dead. He didn’t see what was so complicated about telling the truth.
When Steffy and Thomas arrived, they also got the news that Liam ran down Vinny. Steffy insisted there must be some mistake, but Brooke confirmed that Liam confessed and was taken into custody.
Thomas raged over Liam leaving Vinny on the side of the road and treating his best friend like an animal. When Brooke noted that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) only found out recently, Thomas ranted about Liam lying to her, too.
Steffy argued that Liam wouldn’t just leave like that, so that led to Brooke filling both Steffy and Brooke in on Bill’s involvement.
“Bill puts Liam into the car after Liam faints like a little girl? That’s what happened?” Thomas asked angrily. He wondered why Bill tried to bury it if it was truly an accident.
Steffy piped up about how Liam was forced to leave the scene against his will, but Thomas pointed out that so much time has passed. He felt like Liam had missed plenty of opportunities to come forward with what went down.
Brooke insisted that Bill wouldn’t allow Liam to come clean, but Ridge roared that Liam was a grown man. Both Thomas and Ridge agreed that the Spencer men had better have good lawyers.
Steffy worried about Kelly and the possibility that she’d have to visit her daddy in prison for the rest of his life, but Brooke said they couldn’t let that happen.
Although Brooke understood why Thomas was upset, she pushed him to think of Hope and how devastated she was feeling. Meanwhile, Hope showed up to see Liam in the jail visitors’ area.
Liam worried over what they would tell the kids, but Hope was only focused on her husband right now.
Hope offered a card from Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) and a family photo for Liam’s cell. She assured Liam that he was a good man and didn’t belong behind bars.
Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears) showed up since he was acting as Liam and Bill’s attorney. He admitted to being in the dark on all this, which was unusual since Bill normally shares everything with him.
Justin was hoping to get Liam and Bill out – at least on bail. However, Justin couldn’t make promises or predict how all this would end. After Liam recapped the story of the hit-and-run and the cover-up that followed, Hope argued that Bill was the real criminal.
Hope didn’t “give a damn” about Bill, but Justin warned that Liam was the driver and didn’t come forward in the aftermath.
Hope teared up and begged Justin to do whatever he could to help. Once Justin left, Hope promised to make sure the judge and jury realized Liam would’ve made the right choice if given the chance. She vowed that she wouldn’t stop until Liam was out of there.
The guard told Liam his time was up, so Hope hastily said she’d love him and that she’d fight for him with everything she had. Liam told Hope he loved her as well and was dragged away. As other B&B updates emerge, we’ll bring you all the latest details.
