The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, March 15, reveals that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) kept pushing Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to be his wife.
Steffy couldn’t accept this proposal while carrying another man’s child. She felt they had to face reality, but Finn insisted he found out something and that their reality never looked so good.
Steffy acknowledged that if this baby were Finn’s, she’d accept in a heartbeat. She couldn’t tie Finn down to a life that he’d someday regret. As Steffy tried to run away, Finn called out to her. “It’s ours! The child is ours! You’re carrying our baby!” Finn shouted.
Finn explained how Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) worked in the lab at University Hospital, where they took the paternity test. Finn insisted that Vinny messed with the results, but the truth is that Finn’s the father. It finally sunk in for Steffy, who jumped in Finn’s arms as he twirled her around.
Steffy felt like she knew all along that the baby was Finn’s – and she was right. Their prayers had been answered. Finn wanted to try his marriage proposal again, so he made another sweet speech before once again asking if Steffy would be his wife.
Steffy accepted this time, so Finn put the ring on her finger before they got swept up in a passionate kiss.
At the cabin on Monday’s B&B episode, Hope reeled over the news that Steffy’s baby belongs to Finn, not Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). “I swear if you are messing with me…” Hope warned Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson).
Thomas insisted it was true, so Hope said she didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. She got confirmation that Finn was off telling Steffy – and Thomas declared he was so happy for all of them.
Hope was grateful to Thomas for rushing right over to tell her the truth. It was something that Thomas might not have done in the past. Thomas said Hope was probably right, but he was glad to see that big, beautiful smile on her face.
When Hope asked why Vinny altered the results, Thomas admitted it was because of him – so that Thomas could be with Hope. Thomas promised he had nothing to do with this, but he suspected the truth after some not-so-subtle hints from Vinny.
Once Thomas found out Vinny was working at the lab, he worked to uncover the real story – and he got the truth out with Finn’s help in the end. Thomas felt terrible about Vinny thinking he was doing him a favor.
Hope wasn’t angry with Thomas and didn’t blame him, but it was a lot to process. She was glad Thomas trusted his instincts and confronted Vinny. Hope let Thomas know she was grateful for everything he’d done.
At Spencer Publications, Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) called Liam out for being so distracted. Liam talked about all the pain he’s caused Hope.
He wasn’t sure if Hope would even still be with him if it weren’t for Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri).
Liam tried to wrap his head around screwing things up this badly. Wyatt offered to talk to Hope if Liam thought it would help, so Liam said he might take Wyatt up on that – but what Hope really needed is time.
Liam ranted at himself for making Hope a stepmom to another child of Steffy’s, but Wyatt didn’t think that was productive.
At some point, Liam felt he had to consider that he was expecting too much from Hope – that maybe they couldn’t get past it this time. Wyatt wondered what Liam was saying – that he didn’t deserve Hope anymore?
Liam argued that Hope didn’t deserve a guy who would go running to his ex every time something goes wrong.
Liam wasn’t giving up and wasn’t saying there was a guy out there better for Hope. He was just saying that he had to work harder at being the guy Hope deserves.
Liam was hopeful about earning Hope’s forgiveness, but he prepared himself for Hope not being able to get past him having another child with Steffy.
Later on Monday’s Bold and the Beautiful episode, Liam entered the cabin and found Thomas talking to Hope. He wondered what was going on, so Thomas asked if Hope wanted to tell Liam. Thomas assured Liam that it was something that would change his life forever.
