The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Monday, May 31 Recap – Thomas Talks Dating, Moves On from Hope – Baby Boy for Steffy & Finn

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, May 31, reveals that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) talked dating again and moving on from Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle). Meanwhile, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) learned they were having a baby boy.

At home, Hope asked if Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was going to turn himself in, but he insisted she got a say in this. Although Hope wanted to do the ethical thing, she admitted she didn’t want to lose Liam – and she didn’t want the kids to lose him either.

Hope wondered if this was something Liam could keep to himself and put behind him. Liam didn’t want to leave his family, so Hope tried to figure out what his next move was.

At Forrester Creations, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) gushed over how pretty Finn and Steffy looked together. He was happy to see them in a good place after everything they’d been through.

Steffy promised to save Ridge a photo from the ultrasound since she had an OB-GYN appointment today.

Thomas came in as Steffy and Finn discussed some of the adventures they’d been taking Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Collette Gray) on ahead of the birth. Once Finn and Steffy left for the doctor, Thomas wondered to Ridge why the happy couple didn’t just elope.

Ridge suggested that maybe they were just too busy right now, but he felt they deserved peace – just like Thomas.

When Ridge said that one day maybe Thomas would be ready to date again, Thomas said he was looking forward to it. Ridge was glad to see that Thomas no longer viewed Hope as an option.

Thomas promised that he supported Liam and Hope’s reunion. He felt it was going to be smooth sailing for Hope and Liam from here on out. Thomas admitted that he felt like he was interrupting something at the cabin earlier, but he suggested it was probably nothing.

Talk turned to Thomas’ latest sleepover with Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), so Ridge thought Thomas should make those more of a regular occurrence.

Ridge wondered how Thomas felt about Liam being around his son all the time, so Thomas praised Liam for cultivating a special relationship with Douglas. He felt like Liam truly wanted what was best for the kids.

Ridge understood all that, but he wanted Thomas to remember something important. “Don’t forget that Douglas is your boy,” Ridge insisted. He felt like Thomas should continue to working on his father-son bond.

At Spencer Publications, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) left Liam another message before Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) came in and once again realized this was about his brother.

Wyatt demanded to know what was really going on, so Bill finally admitted that Liam was dealing with a pretty big issue and that today would determine a lot for him.

Bill wanted Wyatt to respect his brother and give it a day before he pushed it any further. Later, Bill frantically searched the cabin and seemed frustrated since Liam had already left along with Hope.

At the police station, Liam asked to see Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) and felt confident Baker would want to see him. While Hope waited with Liam, he admitted he was going to take the fall for Bill’s cover-up.

Liam didn’t see why Will Spencer (George Finnegan) should grow up without a father.

Hope thought that when Liam told his story, it would be the whole truth. Liam insisted that he ran Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) over with the car and had to take responsibility for that.

When Baker came in, he suggested this was a surprise and wondered what Liam wanted to talk to him about.

Suddenly, Bill appeared and argued that Liam wasn’t thinking straight. He wanted a moment alone with his son – and Baker got called away to deal with something seconds later. “What do you think you’re doing?!”

Bill hissed once Baker walked away. He didn’t want Liam going down for some scumbag drug dealer who manipulated the paternity test.

Bill argued that he wouldn’t lose Liam, but Baker returned and could tell that something serious was going on. He could tell Liam had some sort of story or tell or statement to make.

Baker pushed Liam to tell him what brought him all the way down there as Bill looked uneasy.

At Steffy’s OB-GYN appointment on Monday’s B&B episode, Dr. Campbell (Tina Huang) was glad to see Steffy and Finn’s excitement over their baby. Steffy assured the doc that this little one was going to have the most amazing and thoughtful daddy.

Once Dr. Campbell made sure everything was progressing normally, she asked if Finn and Steffy wanted to know the baby’s gender. Although Steffy and Finn planned to wait, they ultimately decided the suspense was killing them.

Steffy asked Dr. Campbell to tell them if they were having a boy or a girl.

After Dr. Campbell revealed that they were having a boy, Steffy and Finn were over the moon. Finn would’ve been happy either way, but he was certainly excited over the news they were having a son.

Steffy admitted she secretly hoped for a boy before Finn talked about how he’d wanted to be a father for so long. He gazed in Steffy’s eyes and gushed over her giving him the greatest gift imaginable.
