The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, October 4, reveals that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) kept John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) secret from Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) while relentless Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) sent a new message. Here’s how it all went down on Monday’s B&B episode.
At the Forrester mansion, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) remained outraged over Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) arrangement with Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor). Ridge didn’t approve of Eric’s solution to let Quinn cheat, but Eric didn’t consider it cheating since he pushed Quinn and Carter to sleep together.
Even so, Ridge was furious with Quinn and insisted she needed to get out of the house today. Despite Eric’s attempts to shut his son down, Ridge argued that Quinn needed to take her portrait, walk out that door and never come back.
Ridge felt this whole thing was sick and perverted, but Quinn didn’t see what good shaming Eric would do. Eric made it clear that Quinn was staying put and that he didn’t need Ridge’s permission for anything.
Since Ridge had expressed his indignation, Eric felt it was time for his son to go. Ridge tried to protest, but Eric took an even more forceful tone and warned him to go home. Once Eric was alone with Quinn, he seemed rattled and distraught as he looked up at her portrait.
At Forrester Creations, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) talked about how disrespectful Quinn was since she was going along with Eric’s proposal. Brooke was glad Eric had Katie to lean on since he was dealing with so much.
Katie talked about how Eric seemed empty and felt that he was sticking to his marriage because he didn’t want to be lonely. Although Brooke didn’t want to see Eric all alone, she also didn’t want him trapped in a loveless life with Quinn.
At the cabin, Finn was grateful he could talk to Hope about his birth mother. Hope and Finn discussed Sheila’s text before Steffy arrived with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).
Finn, Steffy, Hope and Liam had a conversation about being one big happy family now. There was lots of talk about the kids and how special the bond was between parent and child. Steffy felt there was an exception in Finn’s case since awful Sheila was his birth mom.
Sheila indeed acted like she could feel a connection to Finn as her son, so Hope reflected on when she was told Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) was dead. She could still feel Beth even then and understood the strength of that parent-child pull.
In Sheila’s hotel room, she continued to blame Steffy for her lack of a relationship with Finn and hoped he’d text her back anyway. Keith (Nick Waters) the assistant manager showed up to let Sheila know they needed her room, but Sheila was adamant about sticking around and fighting for her son as well as her grandson.
After Keith got updates on Sheila reaching out to Finn and waiting to hear back, he offered encouragement. Keith was clearly into Sheila and made a bit of an effort to charm her. He decided he’d see what he could do about an extension on Sheila’s time in the room.
Once Sheila was alone, she sent Finn another text to express her love and push for a place in her son’s heart. Finn got Sheila’s message right just before Steffy decided they should leave.
After Liam stepped away for a work call, Steffy headed outside. That left Hope alone with Finn, so she asked if he got another text from Sheila. Finn thanked Hope for not mentioning anything in front of Steffy.
“Of course, I know how important Steffy and your family is to you, so…good luck with everything,” Hope said. Finn once again thanked Hope, who looked concerned as he left the cabin.
