The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Monday, September 6, reveals that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) revealed his mom emergency to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), so Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) plan was already paying off!
At the cliff house on Monday’s B&B episode, Finn told “Mom” to hang in there since help was on the way. Sheila smirked in satisfaction as Finn went to unlock the door for the paramedic.
Once the paramedic entered, Finn explained the patient was his mother and insisted they had to get her to the hospital. Sheila was eventually wheeled in the ER, where Finn gave updates to Sheila’s doctor and assured “Mom” that he’d be right by her side.
In Sheila’s hospital room, Finn flashed back to being harsh with her right before she faked her collapse. After explaining what happened to her doctor, Finn admitted Sheila was his birth mother and that he’d just met her.
“It’s complicated,” Finn said. “Really complicated actually. But I finally found her, and I can’t lose her. Not like this.”
At Forrester Creations, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) talked about how the restraining order was in the judge’s hands and how security had been beefed up. He was still concerned about Finn not taking Sheila seriously enough, but Steffy felt confident that Finn understood now.
When Steffy saw Sheila holding Hayes Forrester Finnegan, she admitted all she cared about in that moment was protecting her son. “Even from Finn?” Ridge asked.
Steffy admitted that was true, but Ridge didn’t think that was anything to be ashamed of. He felt like you do whatever you have to do to protect your family – and Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) agreed.
Brooke felt the important thing was that Finn knew Sheila couldn’t be in his life. Ridge pointed out that Finn didn’t live the darkness and danger – he just heard about it.
As a result, Ridge feared that Finn would still have a relationship with his mother. Ridge didn’t want to make Steffy concerned, but he knew Finn would have some complex feelings to work out.
“Finn told you that you and the kids come first…still that woman showed up at your house. How?” Ridge asked. Steffy argued that Finn was vulnerable to Sheila once, but that he’d seen how she manipulates and wouldn’t fall for it ever again.
Later, Finn called Steffy from the hospital and admitted there’d been an emergency with his mother – prompting Sheila to smirk again while pretending to be unconscious.
Steffy assumed Finn meant Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda), but Finn explained that Sheila showed up and collapsed after he told her never wanted to see her again.
Finn said if he was being honest, he was really worried. “I know you don’t want to hear this, but she’s my mother and I don’t want to lose her.” Nearby in her hospital bed, Sheila thought to herself that no one would keep them apart, not even Steffy!
At the Forrester mansion, Eric Forrester (John McCook) continued listening in on Quinn Forrester’s (Rena Sofer) conversation with Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards).
Shauna wondered if Quinn really could give up the passionate part of herself, but Quinn insisted she could do anything for Eric and declared that she loved him.
Eric then made his presence known and said he loved Quinn, too.
Shauna and Quinn were uncomfortable since they didn’t know Eric was home, but Eric was cordial and appreciated Shauna’s supportive words about true love.
Once Quinn was alone with Eric, she came clean about telling Shauna what was going on with him. Quinn hoped Eric wasn’t angry with her, but he understood that she needed someone to talk to.
Eric once again apologized for letting Quinn think he didn’t desire her, but Quinn shut down any negative talk and felt they would get through this.
Eric knew he should’ve told Quinn the whole truth before asking her to come back and tearing up the divorce papers.
Quinn flashed back to exchanging love declarations with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) before snapping back to reality.
“You really think my answer would’ve changed?” Quinn asked. She assured Eric that she was committed and devoted to him, but he was frustrated since he’d been to doctors and psychiatrists without any success.
Eric felt he was letting Quinn down and wondered how he could ask a vibrant and sensual woman like Quinn to bury that part of herself.
Quinn argued that Eric had fulfilled her before and would do it again, but he kept insisting that he couldn’t make love to her.
Since Eric was getting all worked up, Quinn pushed him to stop and pulled him in for a hug.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Eric and Quinn will have to face more challenges, so stay tuned to see how they’ll tackle them.
