The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) could get a baby surprise and give Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) a child after all. Could this be how the secret couple gets busted?
On the July 30 episode, Quinn suddenly blurted out that she was too old for Carter. She felt like Carter might want children and a family – things she didn’t feel she could give him.
Of course, Carter’s too crazy about Quinn to care at this point and just wants to keep riding this high for as long as he can.
Quinn and Carter could have a shot at a real future together – maybe even one that includes a family despite her warning.
It was strange for Quinn to make that speech about being too old for Carter out of the blue. Why is Quinn suddenly worried about that when it wasn’t an issue before?
You could argue that Quinn’s getting in deeper with Carter now and developing more concerns as a result.
However, dialogue can sometimes contain crucial story clues. If someone says something surprising, it often matters and can set up what’s coming down the line.
Could Quinn’s comment about not being able to give Carter children mean the opposite will happen? It wouldn’t be the first time a character said one thing and got a contradictory outcome.
It’s common on soaps for people to swear a secret will stay under wraps or insist that a wedding will have no drama.
We all know how well those types of plans turn out! Likewise, Quinn’s insistence that she can’t give Carter a family could lead to them getting an unexpected one.
On General Hospital, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) thought she was too old to have a baby and then – surprise, surprise – she had a later in life pregnancy.
It led to a brand-new baby girl and a gripping storyline. Laura Wright is close to Rena Sofer’s age, so there’s no reason Quinn couldn’t get a similar story on B&B.
The best part would be Quinn’s baby revelation forcing her secret Carter romance out into the open. Can you imagine Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) reaction if Quinn wound up pregnant with Carter’s child?
Brooke would remain glad to keep Quinn away from Eric Forrester (John McCook), but she’d still throw a fit and act like Quinn was the scum of the earth.
Eric would have a lot to deal with if Quinn revealed she was pregnant as well – not to mention Wyatt Spencer’s (Darin Brooks) shock over his new baby brother or sister.
There’d be some interesting places to go with a surprise pregnancy storyline, so we’ll see if B&B takes advantage of the opportunity.
