The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) is currently on maternity leave after giving birth to her second son, Lenix, on February 21, 2021. Wood is happily bonding with her baby at home right now, but what does that mean for Steffy and her future on B&B?
Since so many fans are curious about how the show will handle Wood’s time away from set, we’ve got some updates to pass along. According to SOD, a spokesperson for The Bold and the Beautiful insists that “Wood pre-taped scenes so her character’s absence will not be too noticeable on screen.”
Of course, that leaves the door open for several different scenarios depending on what kind of scenes were filmed in advance. It’s still possible Steffy will end up heading to Paris on business – or she might take some time away to avoid stress.
Wood’s pre-taped scenes could easily be Steffy’s phone calls to keep in touch with everyone at home.
On the other hand, B&B might keep Steffy right there in LA. Maybe they just figured out exactly what they needed in advance and were able to film enough to make the story work.
Another option might be if there’s some sort of baby scare that puts Steffy on bed rest. It would’ve been easy to film some scenes of Steffy interacting with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) in one place like that.
It’d also provide a great explanation for why Steffy’s not out and about in the coming months.
No matter what route The Bold and the Beautiful writers take, the good news is that Steffy will still be seen through these pre-taped appearances. Steffy obviously won’t be on as often, but it’s good that she won’t vanish completely and can still be part of the baby story she’s at the center of.
As other info comes in, we’ll keep you posted! The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say even more drama’s coming up for Steffy, Finn, Liam and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle).
