The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Thursday, April 8 Recap – Steffy & Kelly’s Trip - Finn Reels Over Vinny’s Corpse

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 8, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was sulking on the sofa when Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) returned from his morning jog. Liam threw a fit with the couch cushions and remained disturbed by what had gone down the night before.

Although Liam was irritated over Bill putting his fancy shoes on and going out jogging, Bill insisted there was a point. He thought he should see if there were any cameras on that stretch of road – and there weren’t any.

Bill was adamant that there was no video footage or anything else that could tie Liam to Vinny Walker’s (Joe LoCicero) accident. All Liam had to do was stay quiet.

Liam once again objected, but Bill ranted about how Liam should enlighten him if he’s somehow romanticized prison life. Bill insisted he’d had a “hell of a morning already” and felt the less Liam knew, the better off he’d be.

Bill assured Liam that the car had been taken care of and just wanted his son to pretend the accident never happened.

Liam insisted that he killed a human being last night – that Vinny was dead because of him. Liam felt this would haunt him if he didn’t come clean right now, but Bill argued that it’d haunt Liam whether he was free or in prison.

Bill thought freedom was the better option and checked his phone for updates soon after. He read a story about the hit-and-run victim and how there were no leads. Bill took credit for that and insisted the police wouldn’t find anything.

Liam raged over Bill’s first instinct being to leave Vinny on the side of the road, but Bill reminded Liam that Vinny was dead. He refused to let Liam go to prison over an accident, but Liam fired back that he’d go to prison because of the cover-up.

Despite Bill’s protests, Liam wanted to come forward now while there was the slightest chance the cops might take pity on him. Liam said Bill was the one who drove off, so he had to figure out how to factor that information into his explanation to the police.

When Liam tried to leave for the police station, Bill physically got in his way. “You are NOT going to the police!” Bill insisted. He didn’t think the cops would praise Mr. Spencer for reporting his “boo-boo” and send him on his way.

Liam crafted an alternative story about hitting an animal, not seeing anything and claiming they thought it ran off. He thought they could tell the cops they only realized the potential truth due to the news the next morning.

Bill argued that Liam was leaving out his history with Vinny, who sabotaged his life with those altered paternity test results. Liam countered that the truth always comes out and felt he had no choice but to come clean.

On Thursday’s Bold and the Beautiful episode, Bill insisted that he’d already fixed this and that the car would be gone today. He told Liam that if anybody asks, they left Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) place and went straight home.

At Forrester Creations, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) flashed back to her kiss with Liam before John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) arrived.

Hope asked if Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was still out of town, so Finn said Steffy and Kelly Spencer (Avalon and Collette Gray) had taken a trip up the coast. Finn couldn’t get someone to cover his shifts in time, so he was going to join them later.

When Finn wondered about the reason of this meeting, Hope asked how Finn was able to forgive Steffy. She wanted to get to that same place with Liam and asked if Finn could help. Finn opened up about his love for Steffy and how he knew she was horrified by what she did.

The fact that it was an isolated incident under extreme circumstances helped – and Finn had no regrets. He was certain he’d have a happy future with Steffy and had to believe it’d be the same way for Hope and Liam.

Finn couldn’t tell Hope what to do, but he felt it wasn’t healthy to keep dealing with everything she was dealing with. Finn suggested that letting go would alleviate a lot of the pain and anxiety.

Hope was grateful for the doctor’s opinion, which she admitted lined up with Brooke’s guidance.

After Finn said he had to get back to the hospital, Hope mentioned her lunch plans with Liam. Finn was hopeful about them working things out and felt forgiveness was the way to the future. He wished Hope good luck before he left.

Finn was set to attend a training session at the hospital with the coroner, Dr. Ricks (Vasthy Mompoint), so he stopped by the morgue and learned she was too busy with a case.

Dr. Ricks talked about how sad it was since it was a young guy with his whole life ahead of him – then BAM. Finn wondered what kind of person would just hit the guy and leave.

There was no ID, so Dr. Ricks was hoping the fingerprints would help identify the body. When Dr. Ricks pulled back the sheet, Finn reeled over Vinny’s corpse.

Back with Hope, she texted Liam that she was looking forward to lunch. Liam checked the message and panicked – and Bill agreed Liam couldn’t see anyone until he got something that resembled control over himself. He pushed Liam to text back that something came up.

After Liam texted that he couldn’t make it, Hope texted back not to worry and hoped he was OK. Liam read the reply and started ranting about how he definitely wasn’t OK! He seemingly had a panic attack as he breathed heavily and leaned against a chair.

On Thursday’s B&B episode, Bill softened a bit and urged crying Liam to take deep breaths. He wanted Liam to find the strength to put this behind him. If Liam couldn’t do that, Bill encouraged him to lean on his dad.
