The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 26, reveals that Eric Forrester (John McCook) threw Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) out while Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) faced horror over Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) and Hayes Forrester Finnegan’s close moment.
On Thursday’s B&B episode, Steffy grew increasingly nervous as they remained delayed due to weather on the jet. She felt like maybe she should just miss the meeting and told Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) that something was telling her to go be with John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and the kids.
Steffy pointed out that Sheila had a blood tie now and didn’t think Hayes’ biological grandmother was just going to disappear. She was adamant that Finn had to keep Sheila as far away from Finn as possible.
After the pilot made another announcement about still being in a holding pattern, Steffy decided the universe might be telling her to skip the meeting and just go home. She hated to bail, but Hope understood and suggested Steffy could surprise Finn instead of calling him.
At the cliff house, Jack Finnegan (Ted King) opened the door to an eager Sheila and insisted he needed more time to convince his son. He slammed the door in Sheila’s face and went back to pushing Finn to let his birth mom have this one visit.
Jack suggested to just give Sheila 10 minutes and then she’d be gone permanently.
Finn insisted it wasn’t happening, but Jack barked that “damn it, it has to!” He thought back to Sheila’s demands while she grew impatient outside the front door. Sheila finally just barged right in, so Jack suggested she wasn’t helping her cause.
Finn warned that Sheila had to go, but she urged him to believe Jack’s claims. She pointed out she was halfway there since she was looking at Finn and pushed him to put Hayes in her arms.
Sheila begged Finn to just allow her this one thing. She knew Steffy probably laid down the law telling him to ban her, but she pointed out that Steffy was out of town according to Jack.
Sheila assured Finn that giving him up was the hardest thing that she ever had to do. She wanted Finn, but she wasn’t in a position to give him the life he deserved.
Sheila added that she never stopped loving Finn and wanted to see for herself what Hayes looked like. She craved the gift of holding her grandbaby in her arms just once and vowed to be gone forever afterward.
Sheila was so proud of Finn and felt the one good thing she did was giving him up so he wouldn’t be tainted by her instability. At Finn’s urging, Sheila swore Steffy and the Forresters would never have to worry about her again if Finn gave her this moment with Hayes.
After Finn got the baby, he made Sheila once again promise to leave and never come back. Sheila then cradled Hayes sweetly and gushed over how she’d been dying to meet him. She said Hayes took her breath away just like his daddy did.
“My grandson…oh, my precious perfect grandson,” Sheila said before thanking Finn. Although Finn felt it was time to take Hayes back, Sheila begged to hold him just a little longer.
Steffy’s keys slipped out of her hands outside the door, which delayed her entrance for a moment. However, she ultimately walked in and gasped in horror at the sight of Sheila with Hayes in her arms.
At the Forrester mansion, Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) assured Eric that she’d stand by him, even if his condition turned out to be permanent. Brooke came blowing in with Ridge, so they quickly saw that Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) reunion news was true.
Brooke couldn’t believe Eric had taken Quinn back after her betrayal – and Ridge agreed his dad shouldn’t have forgiven her.
However, Quinn piped up that it wasn’t Ridge or Brooke’s call to make. She felt like Eric had enough to deal with and urged them to get off his case.
Eric thought he bore some responsibility in the affair since he pushed Quinn into Carter’s arms. He felt this was more complicated than Brooke and Ridge realized.
Quinn agreed there was more going on than “Bridge” knew about and pointed out Eric was a grown man who didn’t need them dictating his life. She thought if Ridge and Brooke really cared about Eric, they would just let him be.
When Brooke and Ridge reminded Eric of how much pain Quinn caused with her betrayal, Eric insisted not everything a couple dealt with was fit for public consumption.
Eric said Quinn lit up his world and brought him fulfillment, so he hoped he could give that back to her.
Since Eric had let Ridge and Brooke voice their opinions, he pushed them to leave. Brooke protested, but Eric told them to go more forcefully this time.
Once Quinn was alone with Eric, she reassured him again about his erectile dysfunction being just another challenge to conquer.
