The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Tuesday, August 17, reveals that Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) plans for a romantic night took a devastating turn – and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) confessed she was considering a security guard due to her Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) fears.
At the Forrester mansion on Tuesday’s B&B episode, Eric Forrester (John McCook) told Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) he loved her and admitted to falling short when it came to defending his wife.
Eric repeated that he didn’t want their marriage to end as Quinn looked bewildered.
Eric knew he’d previously taken a hard stance, but now he’d decided that he wanted to forgive Quinn and get their love back.
When Sheila came out of the woodwork, it helped Eric see that anything Quinn did paled in comparison to Sheila’s destruction.
Eric insisted he no longer wanted the divorce and ripped the papers up right in front of Quinn. He hoped that sent a strong enough message, but Quinn was at a loss for words.
Eric said it was clear to him that Quinn still loved him, so he wanted to be her husband again and rebuild this marriage.
Eric urged Quinn to get some stuff for overnight and come stay at the mansion since they could get the rest of her stuff later.
After Eric quickly pulled Quinn into a warm embrace, she seemed uneasy as she looked over his shoulder.
At Carter’s loft, he thought back on a private moment with Quinn and then smiled as he gazed at her portrait. Carter also picked up a blanket and flashed back to a passionate moment under it with Quinn.
Carter set up candles and wine before having more flashbacks while holding Quinn’s bracelet.
When Quinn showed up to find the romantic setup, Carter acknowledged that it must’ve been painful finalizing her divorce. He didn’t know what his future looked like, but he knew he wanted Quinn in it.
Carter reminded Quinn that he didn’t want to sneak around and that he didn’t care about the consequences since she was worth it.
However, Quinn insisted that Carter didn’t understand. Carter interrupted to talk about how he was heartbroken and angry before Quinn came into his life.
Quinn felt lucky that Carter wanted to be with her for her – especially after all the people she’d hurt and lines she’d crossed.
Before Carter could move in closer, Quinn admitted the divorce wasn’t finalized and that somehow Eric found it in his heart to forgive her. She added that Eric didn’t want the marriage to end and that he said he wanted her back.
Carter closed his eyes and dropped his head as he realized the gravity of Quinn’s confession.
At Forrester Creations, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) assured Steffy that she didn’t have to pretend everything was OK after all the Sheila drama.
Ridge felt his daughter deserved to be happy, but Steffy insisted she was.
Steffy pointed out that she loved Finn, which was all that mattered. She added that Sheila was never going to be part of Finn’s life or this family.
Steffy admitted she was considering getting a security guard before Ridge pointed out it was just a matter of time until crazy Sheila reached out to Finn again.
Steffy assured Ridge that Finn wanted nothing to do with Sheila and that he could be trusted. She didn’t think Finn was going to let her or the kids down since he always put them first.
At the cliff house, Finn looked at the text from Sheila as Paris noted how much he had to unpack about his birth mom.
Paris was more than willing to lend an ear and repay the favor since Finn had been so good to her along with Steffy.
Plus, Paris thought she could relate since her dad had done terrible things and was in prison. She felt guilty since everyone hated Reese Buckingham (Wayne Brady), but she missed him and still wanted him to be part of her life.
Finn talked about imagining what he’d be like to meet his birth mother growing up.
Paris laughed over Finn’s admission that he always used to picture Lucille Ball when he watched I Love Lucy reruns.
Finn also talked about the emotional and cathartic experience of looking into Sheila’s eyes.
It was like Finn finally found a piece of himself that had been missing, but he never imagined his birth mother would be so dangerous.
Finn ultimately revealed that Sheila sent him a goodbye text and added that he hadn’t said anything since he didn’t want to upset Steffy. He asked Paris not to say anything either.
Finn said he didn’t know what else to do since it didn’t feel right not to respond, so he sent an emoji back.
Paris understood, but she reminded Finn that the Forresters were terrified of Sheila. If Sheila reached out again, Finn planned to tell Steffy – but he didn’t see that happening.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. “What if it’s Sheila?” a concerned Paris asked Finn.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Finn and Steffy will face major conflict down the road, so stay tuned!
