The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 19, reveal that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) continued their conversation at Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) place.
Liam said that he wanted a life with Hope and the kids, and that he’d fight to hold onto their marriage.
Liam said that he was begging Hope to open up her heart to him one more time, and he continued to emote and ramble. Liam said that what happened won’t happen again, and that he had to believe that Hope still loved him even if he didn’t deserve it.
Hope said that she didn’t question Liam’s love for her and the kids, and Liam asked her to tell him that she still wanted a life with him.
Meanwhile, in the Forrester Creations CEO office, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) talked. Finn wondered about Steffy’s feelings for Liam, especially if she’s carrying Liam’s child again. Steffy said that her feelings for Liam were complicated.
Finn said that if they were indeed the baby’s parents, then it would be amazing, but that Liam could be the father, and he seems to feel that he can reel Steffy in whenever he chooses.
Finn worried that if the baby was Liam’s that it would keep Steffy from committing to a life with him. Steffy assured Finn that she loved him and didn’t want to lose him.
Finn then said that no matter what happens with the paternity test, he wants to be there for Steffy, and that if Liam’s the father it’s not a deal breaker for him…IF Steffy’s commitment to their relationship is her first priority.
Finn noted that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) had warned him, and he worried that this might happen again. Steffy said that it wouldn’t happen again, and Finn said that he didn’t trust Liam and that neither should Steffy.
Thomas then walked into the office and could note the tension in the air. Thomas wanted to know what was going on, and Finn said that he and Steffy were having a difference of opinion and that it was between him and Steffy.
Thomas seemed to take the hint and said that he was looking for Hope. Steffy said that Hope had gone home.
Thomas took off, and Steffy thanked Finn for saying he’d be there for her regardless of who the father is. “I will always be here for you,” Finn said, but he also wondered if Steffy really loved him the way he loved her.
Finn thought that maybe Steffy’s feelings for him were more about gratitude than love. Steffy insisted that she loved Finn truly.
“But you still love Liam,” Finn said. Finn then asked Steffy if she really wanted him to be the father of her baby. “In your heart of hearts, is that truly how you feel?” Finn asked. “Just tell me honestly – do you want the father to be Liam or me?”
Back at Brooke’s mansion, Thomas quietly opened the front door as Hope and Liam continued to talk. Liam had just gotten on his knees to beg, saying that he was terrified that he’d thrown everything with Hope away.
Thomas listened in, as Liam and Hope rehashed the whole sordid story of Liam and Steffy’s affair and Steffy’s pregnancy.
Thomas kept listening, raising an eyebrow as he heard about the affair and the pregnancy. Liam told Hope that he’d give her some space to think, and he took off out the side door to head to the cabin.
Hope started crying, and Thomas walked in, telling Hope that she didn’t need to hide her tears because he heard the whole thing.
Over at Spencer Publications, Summer Newman (Hunter King) told Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) that she’d like to hear what Flo has to say. Flo indicated that there was definitely dirt on Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), but that they should get to know each other better before she spilled the tea.
Summer mentioned that she was a Newman and that her grandfather was Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Flo said that she had heard of him, and that Sally’s reputation was known far and wide. Flo said that there was nothing she’d like better than to let the whole world know the truth about Sally.
Summer gathered that Sally was not Flo’s favorite person, and Flo said that they shouldn’t be talking here. Summer suggested that they meet later, and Flo promised to not let Summer leave empty handed. “You deserve to know the truth – all of it – about Sally,” Flo said.
