The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 21, reveals that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) wanted to help Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), but she insisted she couldn’t if he wouldn’t tell her what was wrong.
Hope promised she wouldn’t judge and pushed Liam to tell her what was really going on with him.
Liam told Hope she had good instincts and insisted all he ever wanted was to deserve Hope and the kids. He felt he kept screwing it up, so Hope assumed this was about that night with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
Liam started to reply it was about so much more, but Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) interrupted and suggested he’d been looking for his son.
Hope wondered if it could wait since Liam was about to tell her something important. “By all means, Liam. Say what’s on your mind!” Bill insisted. Liam wished he was a better person, but Hope argued that he couldn’t let it stop him in his tracks.
Bill wholeheartedly agreed and shared Hope’s concern for Liam. Bill said it was hard when you don’t recognize the man looking back in the mirror. However, Bill felt life was about change and would get Liam through this. Bill promised to make sure Liam’s future was bright and that he’d be ready to meet it.
Bill insisted he really did need Liam and pulled him away from Hope, who remained pensive about her husband. Later, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) came along with some design changes for Hope to approve.
Hope also approved a visit with the kids, especially since she didn’t know when Liam would be by the cabin.
Thomas wondered if something happened during Hope’s last chat with Liam, so she admitted he was quiet and distant. Although Thomas felt like Liam just missed his family, Hope argued that Liam was normally very into sharing his feelings. Liam was usually an open book, but not today.
“I really feel like he’s an idiot, but I know you love him and I respect that,” Thomas insisted. He stuck to his belief that it wasn’t a big deal, but Hope felt like there was more going on – and it really worried her.
Back at home, Bill argued that Liam would’ve come clean if he hadn’t intervened. He warned Liam that he couldn’t do that.
Bill felt like Liam was walking around like a flashing neon sign of guilt. He wanted Liam to stop, but Liam insisted he couldn’t walk around with his secret and function at the same time.
Liam said he wasn’t cut out for this, but Bill gave him another pep talk about controlling his thoughts. As Liam cried, he asked Bill to tell him out since he just killed a man!
Bill insisted that everything was handled and called Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero) a dead rat – someone not worth sacrificing Liam over.
“We take this secret to our graves,” Bill warned. He felt like Liam had to get back to normal, but Liam fired back that he wasn’t normal. Liam insisted he was “radioactive” and “nuclear.” He refused to bring that around his kids and ranted about how his family was slipping through his fingers.
Liam shouted about how there was going to be a giant hole where his soul used to be. He yelled that it wasn’t sustainable and repeated that he couldn’t go on like this.
At the Forrester mansion on Wednesday’s Bold and the Beautiful episode, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) pointed out that every couple has problems. Eric Forrester (John McCook) felt this was different and once again acknowledged they were especially having issues in the bedroom.
Eric took Quinn back and thought he forgave her, but he couldn’t get past how cavaliere she was in her betrayal. Eric wasn’t sure he could ever trust his wife again.
What Eric couldn’t get past was his wife trying to destroy his son’s life. Ridge argued that Quinn had no filter and tried to defend her somewhat.
Eric talked about his love for Quinn, but he felt they’d lost their connection and admitted he’d pretend to go to sleep to avoid the topic of lovemaking. Eric could tell Eric missed the intimacy, but he wasn’t sure they could get it back.
At Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) loft, he chuckled uncomfortably in his undies since he thought Quinn Forrester (Rena Sofer) had already left.
Quinn said it was a good thing she didn’t – because look what she would’ve missed! She added that she now understood why Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) wanted Carter back so badly.
As Carter put some pants on, he asked if Quinn was just going to stare at him. “You bet I am!” Quinn exclaimed – though she was quick to point out Eric was her “end all, be all.” Quinn insisted she was just appreciating Carter like she would a work of art.
Carter laughed and admitted he worked hard to stay in shape, so Quinn replied that it wasn’t a wasted effort.
Talk turned to Eric again, so Quinn hoped he was still interested in her. Carter couldn’t imagine any man who wouldn’t find Quinn desirable. Quinn thanked Carter since she needed that! They established how much they enjoyed talking to each other.
Quinn praised Carter for being a great guy and got why Zoe was kicking herself around the block for letting Carter go.
After Quinn came home to Eric and found him staring at her portrait, she made a sweet speech about the things she loved about Eric. Quinn didn’t want to seem greedy or ask for too much too soon, but she was hoping they could move to the next level. She really wanted to get closer.
Eric mentioned his talk with Ridge and acknowledged the pain Quinn caused with her betrayal. He was looking forward to putting their marriage back together when Quinn first moved back in. Quinn was grateful for another chance and wanted to make things up to him.
Once Quinn professed her love for Eric on Wednesday’s B&B episode, she talked about how much she missed her husband. “We need to rediscover the passion that we have for each other. I want to make love to you tonight,” Quinn said.
