The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 15, reveals that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) defended Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and their custody agreement while Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) flirted in a close moment. Here’s how the drama went down on Wednesday’s B&B episode.
At Brooke’s place, she hated to think about what would happen to her family if Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) couldn’t accept Deacon’s presence.
Katie Logan (Heather Tom) knew Ridge’s attitude was making things complicated, but Brooke argued it shouldn’t be that way. She hadn’t seen any sort of ulterior motives from Deacon since he’d been back in town.
Brooke thought Ridge couldn’t get beyond the past, so Katie acknowledged that Deacon was a constant reminder of Brooke’s affair.
Although Brooke didn’t want to cause pain for her husband, she wasn’t going to deny Hope a relationship with Deacon just because Ridge disapproved.
Katie was sure that Hope saw this as an opportunity to be a family with Deacon and Brooke.
However, Brooke didn’t want Ridge to feel threatened since she didn’t feel threatened by his family with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen), Thomas and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).
At the cliff house, Steffy and Thomas interrupted the hug Ridge and Taylor were sharing. Taylor embraced Thomas, who urged Ridge to tell Taylor how great she looked.
Ridge confirmed Taylor looked as “hot as ever” as they all shared some laughs and enjoyed this family reunion.
Talk turned to Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), so Taylor asked if Thomas was seeing his son more lately. Thomas said he was seeing Douglas about the same and pointed out his son would spend more time with him once he got a new place.
Taylor mentioned Hope having legal custody and was surprised that it hadn’t been amended since Thomas was doing so well. “Douglas is not a Logan; he’s a Forrester – so he should be spending more time with you,” Taylor insisted.
Steffy pointed out that Thomas had to ask Hope and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) to see Douglas, which wasn’t OK as far as she was concerned. She thought that was really sad since Thomas was such a good dad.
Thomas defended Hope for stepping up and filling a void in Douglas’ life. He was thankful to Hope and thought it made sense for Douglas to be with her while he was in between places.
Thomas wanted to regain his balance and make some healthy changes in his life, but Taylor and Steffy suggested he’d already put the work in.
Ridge felt like Taylor pulled the family together when they were in trouble. He commented on how they were in a good place and thought a lot of that was because of Taylor.
Taylor was eager to officially meet John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and once again regretted the milestones she’d missed like Steffy’s wedding and Hayes Forrester Finnegan’s (Piper Harriot) birth.
The rest of the family was understanding about that before Taylor yawned and decided she should head to her hotel.
Steffy insisted Taylor should stay there, so her mom caved in and thought this homecoming was everything she wanted. At Ridge’s urging, they all came together for a family group hug.
At the cabin, Deacon showed Hope some rapid assault techniques before she requested a flashier move. After Deacon showed Hope a spinning backfist, she gave it a shot and explained why she liked martial arts.
In addition to giving Hope confidence, it helped her feel strong and secure as a woman.
Hope fished to find out how Deacon managed to hold back with Ridge, so he said a student acts on impulse while a teacher has the discipline not to.
After Hope talked about wanting to set a good example for her kids, Deacon assured her that she was an amazing mother.
Deacon and Hope exchanged some playful sneak attacks that they wound up laughing over.
They did a few more kicks before Brooke walked in and seemed pleasantly surprised over all the bonding. Hope urged Deacon to show Brooke some moves as well, but he didn’t think her mom needed them.
Deacon suggested Brooke could stop a guy in his tracks with just a giggle, but Brooke argued she didn’t really use that kryptonite on everybody.
There was a bit of a moment as Deacon and Brooke locked eyes, but Brooke broke the silence by suggesting she’d learn some moves after all.
Deacon gave Brooke a quick lesson and was so proud of Hope for taking after her mother, who had a blackbelt in overcoming obstacles.
Brooke was practically beaming over the positive changes she saw in Deacon and how he was connecting with Hope.
