The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 22, reveals that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) got Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) sad text – and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) rejected Taylor Hayes’ (Krista Allen) shooter.
At the cliff house on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) told Taylor they should follow their daughters’ example and end the rivalry between them.
Taylor wound up talking about her video calls with Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) and how it wasn’t the same as being there in person.
It was hard for Taylor knowing Douglas was getting more hugs from Brooke than his “actual grandmother.”
When Brooke mentioned tucking Douglas in last night, the news upset Taylor. She felt that if Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) couldn’t be there, then Douglas could be with his father.
Taylor pointed out that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was better now and thought it’d be good for Douglas to spend more time with him.
That led to Brooke bringing Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) into the conversation and defending her own decision to support Hope in bonding with her dad.
Brooke felt confident she’d figure things out with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), so Taylor hoped that was true.
They talked about Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) before Brooke wondered about the details of Taylor’s next adventure.
Taylor basically assumed Brooke was trying to get rid of her, but Brooke argued that she wasn’t trying to push her out.
Once Taylor confirmed she had no firm plans, she thought she would stay there with her family.
After Brooke invited Taylor to the Christmas gathering at the Forrester mansion, Taylor declined since she was going to spend the holiday with her children and grandchildren.
Brooke decided she’d better go, but Taylor wanted to answer her question about friendship first. Taylor admitted she’d like to think they could indeed be friends.
At Forrester Creations, Ridge reflected on his amazing “Tridge” family memories, but he reminded Steffy that he was with Brooke now. He insisted they’d get through their struggles and didn’t think it mattered what Deacon might throw at them.
At Il Giardino, Sheila urged Deacon to admit having Taylor back in town worked out well for him. Her own situation was different since she felt Taylor would just make matters worse.
Sheila confessed that the holidays were a painful time for her. She thought back on missing Christmas with Finn when he was a child and how she had to follow him online to learn about him as an adult.
Sheila felt reconnecting with Finn could turn into a heartwarming story if Steffy and her family could just be a little kinder.
Deacon just didn’t see any scenario where Sheila could spend Christmas with Finn and the fam.
Sheila snapped at Deacon for being negative, but Deacon was being realistic and refused to go along with her holiday fantasies.
However, Sheila insisted Finn wouldn’t let her spend Christmas alone. She didn’t need holiday magic; she just needed to see Finn and tell him how much she loved him along with Hayes Forrester Finnegan (Piper Harriot).
Sheila sent Finn a text and let him know she wanted to see him for Christmas, but Deacon didn’t have high hopes about her getting a response – or at least the response she wanted.
Sheila didn’t think there’d be a stocking for “good old Dad” this Christmas either, but Deacon felt like he was in a different place with Hope.
Deacon didn’t want to see Sheila disappointed, but he feared she would have a blue Christmas this year. Sheila indeed looked rather blue as she put her head over on Deacon’s shoulder.
Back at Forrester Creations, Finn joined Steffy and eventually received Sheila’s text. Finn told Steffy that Sheila wanted to see him for Christmas, so Steffy ranted about this being a ploy.
Since Taylor was back in town, Steffy argued that the last thing her mom should be thinking about was the woman who shot her!
Finn said it wasn’t something he liked to think about either, but he looked bummed at the thought of not seeing his own birth mother for the holidays.
