The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 23, reveals that Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears) deleted Vinny Walker’s (Joe LoCicero) video – and Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) had a horrifying Spencer takeover realization. Here are all the shockers that went down in Wednesday’s B&B episode.
At the cabin, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) insisted she didn’t want to tell the kids anything about Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) situation until they knew what the future held. Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) pointed out that may not be for a while.
Hope wished there was a way to prove Liam’s innocence and noted that the case would go to trial without some sort of deal.
Hope felt that none of this should be happening and once again blamed Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). Steffy agreed it was a horrible accident and that Bill had turned it into a crime.
Hope understood that Bill was coming from a protective place, but she felt he was the one who deserved to be punished here.
Although Hope knew Justin was loyal to Bill, she was afraid Liam could get lost in the shuffle. Steffy insisted that wouldn’t happen since Liam’s freedom was more important to Bill than his own.
Hope revealed that Liam’s meeting with Justin wasn’t hopeful. She said they could be looking at manslaughter or even murder, which Steffy felt was insane.
Steffy and Hope thought it was a tragic twist of fate that Liam ran down the man who tampered with the paternity test results. Hope wondered how they could get the authorities to believe that.
Steffy had some many questions about what Vinny was doing and why he was in the middle of the street in that neighborhood.
Hope didn’t have answers, but she felt Vinny and Liam’s fates were now horribly intertwined forever. Steffy insisted it was too late for Vinny, but it wasn’t too late for Liam.
Hope said Steffy was right and that they had to fight for him – that they had to somehow prove that Liam hitting Vinny was accidental.
In jail, Bill assured Katie Logan (Heather Tom) that Justin would get him out along with Liam. Katie wondered why Bill and Liam couldn’t get out on bail, so Bill admitted they were potential flight risks. He added that the goal was to avoid going to trial, but he confessed the charges against them were serious.
Katie protested that Will Spencer (Finnegan George) needed his dad at home, so Bill said he’d pay any amount of money to get out on bail and told Justin that. Katie noted that Bill was the father of her son, so she was always going to love him.
Bill replied that he loved Katie, too. He didn’t want her worrying about any of this since it wouldn’t do any good.
Talk turned to Vinny and what he was doing out on the road that night. Bill assured Katie it was nothing good and refused to let that night ruin his life. The conversation shifted back to Will and Katie’s concerns about the other kids starting to talk.
Bill wanted Katie to tell Will the truth – that his father would come home. He repeated that Justin would get him out.
In Bill’s office, Justin swiveled around in the boss’ chair and viewed the video on Thomas’ phone – the one Vinny made just before intentionally stepping in front of Liam’s car. Justin paused for a moment in contemplation, but he ultimately deleted the video.
Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) showed up seconds later and wanted updates on Justin’s plan to get his father and brother out of jail. He worried since Justin was a corporate guy and not a criminal defense attorney, but Justin insisted he indeed had a plan.
Wyatt let Justin know that the Spencer family was counting on him, so Justin said he would definitely make the situation right.
“Hello?! Can anybody hear me?!” Thomas shouted in the caged area of the basement. He called out for help before Justin appeared. Thomas demanded to know why he was locked in a cage and ranted about being sucker punched before he was tossed down there.
Thomas insisted that Steffy, Hope and the police all needed to know the truth about Vinny’s death.
Thomas didn’t understand since Justin now had the power to free his clients. He pushed Justin to let him go, but Justin admitted that wasn’t going to happen.
Thomas argued that Liam could be back with his family tonight – and Bill could be back running the company again.
Thomas thought that was what Justin wanted, but it quickly dawned on him that Justin actually wanted to take over Spencer Publications himself. He reeled as he realized Justin didn’t want Liam and Bill out of jail.
