The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers for Wednesday, March 17, tease that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) will have a lot of explaining to do. Thomas just filled Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) in on the news that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) is the true father of Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) baby.
Now Thomas will have to tell the whole story of trusting his instincts and exposing Vinny Walker’s (Joe LoCicero) plot. Like Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), Brooke may initially worry that Thomas had something to do with the paternity test manipulation.
Even after Thomas insists he’s innocent, Brooke might battle concerns about Thomas setting this all up somehow to look like a hero.
However, it looks like Thomas will convince Brooke that he’s indeed blameless and only wanted to help. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Ridge will express his gratitude to Thomas for coming through for his sister.
Ridge will hope this means Steffy and Finn can build a solid family and future together.
Of course, Brooke will be hopeful about this eliminating an obstacle on the path to forgiveness for Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle). Brooke is still rooting for Hope and Liam to fix their marriage, so she may be more optimistic once she knows Liam isn’t the bio dad.
At the same time, Brooke will know Hope’s been hurt deeply – and that kind of betrayal is hard to get over under any circumstances. Across town, Liam and Hope will continue their conversation about this paternity twist at the cabin.
Once Hope finally got Liam to accept that the original results had been tampered with, it finally sank in that he’s not having another baby with Steffy. Based on the look Liam had, part of him seems to be saddened by that thought.
Hope had a concerned look of her own, so it’s time to dive deeper here and figure out what’s in Liam’s heart.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Hope will put Liam on the spot about whether he’s disappointed. Hope may insist she’s not trying to judge Liam, but she still needs to know if he’s upset about not having another child with Steffy and adding to their brood.
Liam may acknowledge that he does feel a sense of loss, but he should also think about what he stands to gain – and that’s another chance to get his family with Hope back on track.
B&B fans may see honesty as Liam lets go of the father title and tries to embrace Finn as the new dad in this child’s life.
Liam will certainly know this outcome works out best for all parties involved, but Hope will struggle to grant Liam’s wish for another shot later this week. As other B&B info comes in, we’ll deliver more updates.
